  1. Just looking back a bit, March 15th, 2022. Dam gas in San Jose was at an all time high!
  2. Boz Skaggs you say? 1977 at David Bowie, we had 3rd row seats dead center. Who was right behind us? Yep, Boz Skaggs.
  3. @Glasseye Thanks to wifey, I am buzzed on Red Wine now, great dinner too LOL! ...and this what happens. I get "nostalgic" with music from back in the day that I liked....The Moody Blues are right up there. Saw them 2 times, all the original members. Sadly Ray Thomas and Graeme Edge have both passed away. Luckily both of them knew they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Obviously Graeme Edge knew, as he tells the story here in the beginning and then moves over to his drums. Talk about 2 great songwriters...Justin Hayward and John Lodge To show you that I still have SOME brain cells left, 50 years ago at my Senior High School Prom at the "Hilton Hotel" in San Jose, Calif, they played this tune at one point. The gal that I took, had well....a very nice rack. It was beautiful LOL! Still love listening to The Moody Blues.... after a glass of Wine of course.
  4. @lazarus Nice pics of Bangkok, took these back in April 2017 from "Lebua Tower" Hotel on the balcony of our room on Silom RD.. Spent 2 nights here for wifey's B-day.
  5. Thanks Roomark, yeah it's tough sometimes, I just had no idea how popular Coldplay is across the world! So the next day went to "Thai Ticket Major" No seats at all, very few available, just as I thought. It's cool....so the good news is they have added a second show here, that will go on sale this Friday. Wifey and I will get in "the queue" at 9:00am and see what happens. I suspect we will be successful this time no doubt. Just as a side note, they added 2 more shows in Singapore at the National Stadium and those both sold out too in 29 minutes?? 6 Stadium shows in Singapore now? Crazy.... I also read on line, not sure about the actual web-site that Coldplay now holds the record for most stadium shows that are sold out across the world. Not Led Zeppelin, The Stones, or any other group or band. If that is true, got to give it up to these guys, pretty impressive really. Maybe part of the problem is too, that they have not played here since April 2017.
  6. Just for you Glass....John Lodge played this song this back in July 2019 at The Mountain Winery, Saratoga, Calif. His 7 song setlist was great to say the least. Wifey got to meet "Yes" at the meet/greet. Still can't believe she asked Steve Howe "When are you going to come to Thailand and play?" Jesus Christ, nobody asks Steve Howe questions like that! He said "Maybe one day" and smiled. Mr Personality at his finest LOL! https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/john-lodge/2019/the-mountain-winery-saratoga-ca-439e7fab.html
  7. My buddy sent me this, well done to who ever had the Baker make this.
  8. Jesus Christ, e-mail me your bank acct information and I will make a "nice deposit" for you to buy your next "electric" you want LOL!
  9. Nice pics Alan, are your ears still ringing? LOL! So these days, for standing room only, are the crowds pretty cool? Not too rowdy per say?
  10. Nice photos buddy, great to see you are getting out and about for sure. Great sign that you are on your way to getting back to your old self. Formula 1 is coming to Las Vegas in November, god what an experience that would be seeing that on the strip!! Well done to you and glad you had a great time. I could not open any of the movies sadly.
  11. Join a gym.....best decision you will ever make....trust me.
  12. Let me weigh in with what I went through this morning to try to get tickets to this concert. Have been to many concerts here over the years, always had no problem with Thai Ticket Major until today. The Eagles, Eric Clapton, Queen, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion and most recently Bryan Adams to name a few. Have been a VIP with Live Nation for a while now. Ok, so this morning at 9:00am I log on, which then takes you to Thai Ticket Major to ACTUALLY purchase the seats you want right? I am in the “Queue” just like Stillearly was. OK so at 10:13 am local time here, I am now told that any minute I will be able to buy tickets. Boom…I am in. Now mind you, this is 10:13 am local time here. 13 minutes supposedly after being in the “Queue” and now ready to make my purchase. I am flabbergasted at the amount of tickets available 13 minutes after they are supposedly available to all. Basically let me cut to the chase……there are NO 2 seats available together at ANY price range, any section or anywhere except standing room only! Now I realize that Coldplay is popular across the world but….there is something wrong for sure. Of course this is Thailand and….Thai Ticket major actually SHOWED 2 tickets together and when you pressed on those seats, you got the message “Sorry these are already taken” So before you even ask “Why are they showing available if they are well…..not available” I told wifey there are seats available like you would sit behind me, so she said “Ok go for it” I did, click on 1 seat, then the one that shows available right behind me says guess what? Yep, this seat is not available. God only knows what is going on. A few things come to mind here, the way I see it. Unfortunately they do have to lose, I would say 20k seats due to the stadium having to have the stage in the middle of the facility. So supposedly this stadium says capacity of 52k, if obviously used for Soccer. Ok, they also did let those who were fortunate to get tickets, to buy 6 and usually it is 4. But I still find it almost unbelievable that let’s say, 30k seats are sold in 13 minutes? Really? I smell a rat.. So wifey is livid, she calls Thai Ticket Major, they tell her “Oh, that is because today Live Nation pre-sale had priority, try tomorrow when you go directly into Thai Ticket Major web-site and there should be tickets on that web-site???? Now, again this is Thailand so expect that no common sense will be used. I would NOT be surprised that tomorrow when I go directly into Thai Ticket Major, there are tickets in all sections available? Only Buddha knows LOL! OK I am going to stick my neck out on a limb here and say that there will be NO tickets available tomorrow either. I will also predict that a second show will be added on Sunday and we will get tickets to that one, when they announce the date tickets will be available. If Singapore gets 4 stadium shows, Bangkok should get 2….we’ll see.
  13. Got this pic from a friend yesterday, I was in "lub" with her in 1982 if I remember correctly. Who is it?
  14. Don't feel too bad, ours last month was $5,330 baht....worth every penny really. Just curious, do they "hotiwre" the starter to take off or what? Dam, I would be out there with my 9mm Glock waiting for them to come back. Hope you get it all sorted. Arghhhh having to deal with insurance companies is never fun. Dam buddy, another case of wanting to go find these bastards and issue them some "curbside justice" Sorry that happened to your wife. On her way to work I assume?
  15. Just finished up booking a trip to Macao, leaving Aug 27th for a week. Staying at The Venetian, got the "Premio Royal Suite" The second largest Casino/Hotel in the world? This is going to be great....
  16. My weekly "Salmon" run at Promenade Shopping Mall down on the 1st floor after my gym workouts. This place has great seafood.
  17. Just a quick, probably dumb question about the "weed" now available at all of the places around town. When I was in Pattaya in April, saw alot of these places, same in Bangkok. What I DO NOT see is people smoking out in the open as a general rule? I am sure we all know, that pot has a very distinct smell. Since my "stoner" days are long over, do any of you guys ever see people toking out in the open?
  18. Hey buddy, great series so far, if you like Denver huh? Which I do...will be happy when Jokic gets a championship. Hey....Aaron Gordon, San Jose boy, went to Mitty High School locally. Having a great series too.

  22. This De Lorean was parked outside at Santana Row a few weeks back. Guy was cool, he even opened the suicide doors to let me get a better idea of how it looked. I want one LOL!
  23. Help me out here, as a general rule, how many good days in a calendar year does London look like this? Always wanted to go there, looks great. Nice pics Sherlock.
  24. Last night, dinner/movie and after, Swensen's for a Banana Split at Fashion Island Mall. Wifey is in the dog house with me....she ate the Cherry when I went to the restroom without asking me?? Bitch...I always get the Cherry LOL! Yeah, it's good to be back 😛
  25. Finishing up here and ready to get back to the "hood" in Thailand. Final dinner last night, cannot believe how good this meat loaf tastes at "The Cheesecake Factory" Love this place.
