  2. And right you are. Caught them in the act of causing havoc.
  3. 500B, like that's going to keep anyone from repeating the crime. Hopefully the public shaming with have a greater effect on the douchebag. And speaking of emergency lights. I can understand why many Thai just ignore them. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the BIB and official vehicles driving around with their emergency lights on for no reason at all, other than the look at me, I'm a VIP in my own my own head reason.
  4. What a self-entitled douchebag... VIDEO: Policeman fined 500 baht for blocking ambulance in northeast Thailand ... During the journey, near the Mittraphap Fresh Market, the ambulance was blocked by a Ford pickup truck despite Worawut turning on the siren and emergency lights. The pickup truck stopped at a red light and forced the ambulance to a stop. Worawut said the team made an announcement asking for the Ford driver to give way to the vehicle because there was a patient in critical condition inside. However, the driver did not move out of the way but got out of the car and walked up to the ambulance. The ford driver said, “Didn’t you see the red light?” “We have a patient in critical condition inside the ambulance. Please can you move to the left?” replied the ambulance driver. The ford driver did not reply but got back inside his vehicle. The lights changed to green and he drove off but remained in the way of the ambulance. ... Officers from the Pak Chong Police Station revealed that the pickup driver is actually Police Captain “Chanchai” who works as a deputy inspector at the province‘s Dhan Khun Thot Police Station. Pak Chong Police invited Pol. Col. Chanchai to a meeting with the Sawang Wicha Thammsat Foundation on Sunday afternoon so that he could apologise for blocking the ambulance’s way. However, the perpetrator didn’t turn up to the appointment, citing that he was subject to an investigation by police and couldn’t make it. Pak Chong Police charged Chanchai with blocking the way of an emergency vehicle, violating Section 76(2) of the Road Traffic Act (1979). Chanchai was fined 500 baht. The patient had a stroke and remained in critical condition in hospital.

  7. A very expensive new plane. U.S. Unveils B-21 Raider, the Stealth Bomber Designed to Deter China The Air Force wants 100 of the new jets, priced at $700 million apiece ...
  8. And that right there is why I have close to zero interest in football. The players that pull that shit, and the officials that allow it, slow down and distract from what would otherwise be a fast paced, engrossing sport.
  9. Almost to the point today where the price of ticket on the poster would be correct... with no decimal point.
  10. 9 year olds smoke cannabis on Pattaya Beach in Thailand
  11. When they're done destructing/reconstructing the footpath it'll be interesting to compare before and after pics to figure out what they accomplished with this project.
  12. What's even more amazing than the guy riding a motorbike into Cooters is one of the ladies looked up from her phone for a few seconds.
  13. Just to cover all the obvious bases; has he checked his spam folder?
  14. City Hospital on Buakhao wheel chair ramp that ends in planters. And a non-functional ambulance drive through for emergency patient drop off.
  15. I was curious how that is even possible for someone to survive for 11 days sitting on rudder. Apparently there's a void space the stowaways can use to shelter in. Use Of Rudder Trunk For Smuggling ... With the creative imagination of a smuggler, the void space is large enough for a grown man to pass through and access the “platforms” higher up in the trunk. The space may be about 1.6 by 1.6 metres and with a height of about 2.5 metres. Cocaine, with or without accompanying smugglers/stowaways, can be hidden here during a sea voyage, for later pick-up in North America or Europe. ...
  16. Thai Police seize board game in Yala, alleging its illegal, setting off debate between politicians Thai police seized a board game named ‘Patani Colonial Territory’ in Yala which is allegedly illegal, according to Thai police. A candidate for the Move Forward Party in Pattani, Mr. Arifin Soh, posted on his Facebook saying “The Bannang Sata Police seized the board game named ‘ Patani Colonial Territory’ from a small hobby shop and they claim that the game may be illegal. Even the right to play games is being robbed. It is hard to live in the Deep South.” Yesterday, (November 28th), the Thai Phakdee Party spokesman handed a letter to the Interior Ministry to investigate this board game. The letter stated the board game ‘Patani Colonial Territory’ is a game about Patani colonial history which is being supported by the Progressive Movement Foundation and allegedly causing disruption and societal problems. TPN media notes that the police did not immediately state what was illegal about the game and the seizure has caused massive attention on social media, bringing significantly more attention to the game after it was seized than if it had been left alone. This has been called by some as the “Streisand Effect”. The Thai Interior Ministry has not immediately commented on the game or the statements by opposing politicians. TPN media notes information about the game is widely available online.
  17. Tommy I believe was referring to urban sprawl. A lot of land that was previously jungle and scrub brush has been paved over and developed in the last dozen years. IHMO, the pace of development has accelerated in the past six years, with only a temporary pause due to the China virus. Probably won't be long before ChiFlyer has a shinny new shopping mall on the vacant land north of his new villa.
  18. While I've not purchased a home here, it's good advice. By indicating the transfer is for the purchase of a home it will allow you to repatriate the money from the sale of the home at a later date.
  19. I'm not a fan of gogo's, but was with a group that ended up at Heavens Above last Saturday. Even though not a fan, I have to admit the line up was stunning. IIRC, my Leo was 95B.
  20. East of Hwy 36 and south of 3240. An excellent area, with a good variety of terrain for setting hash trails.
  21. Recovering from yesterday's hash run. It was a tough one made even harder as I've not been out running for many weeks.
  22. Congratulations on the home purchase. Looking forward to the 247 house warming party.
