my daughtr has one, she loves it and nowadays really its just a VW. but to me they will always be the pieces of shit that came in to us for repairs regularly and were cheap crap. Alfas too, when they went wrong it was a nightmare. i am a diesel guy nowadays as, despite an ecu, they are basically a simple and reliable engine that just needs lube, compression and fuel to run. and avoid the ford 2.2 like the plague. the 2.5 is massively superior and better built engine. as said, this was my game, once. the thai build Fords are solid as a rock.

I had ford on the list for decades, as a chrysler man i the US, now had a ford for 13 yrs and the bugger wont let me down. was gonna replace her, truck but silly prices here, so am doin a re wrap, new bed cover and a bit of a tart up, as I only use her as a wheelbarrow and trip from home to work. will keep another few years more

ok so i will fess up. my wife is a language teacher, thai, english and german. she is a partner in the I Pasa school near Big C its a great idea to learn in a classroom, 1 on 1, you will be surprised what you can do in a week or so decide if you want to learn to read, talk or both, Ideally both. if talk only its faster but you will always have issues with words, as I do. here is a link to my 1200 thai lessons, free, I am a crap student. so you will always be better than me but its one minute a day, or as many times as you want. Its a taster really, as classroom is the way to go all the best and never give up -

Your first car - fond memories or not so happy ones?.
tommy dee replied to Butch's topic in On the road
that was mine too, but I had the van. so loud that even with my dads old motorola radio i ended up wiring that to headphones. never tipped it over but came close. i hated the dashboard so went to a junk yard, at 17, and rebuilt it with the dash of a cortina mk 2. indicators had to be adapted to two separate switches. goo thing MOT then was brakes lights and steering -
Do you service your own car or take it to a Garage?
tommy dee replied to Butch's topic in On the road
shuld try here in the LOS. the air filters are filthy fr, the dust. I have a compressor here so a blow out is easy and truck filters are very well built. filters here are expensive . I do replace the fuel filters as tanks here are not well regulated in petrol stations. the fab mobile is n need of some extra TLC tho and taking for a check this week for a few issues. -

old time brake fluid was red. nowadays its clear flushing is a good idea, maybe every 5 yrs plugs nowadays last at least 30K miles btw thais have the air filter down to a good deal.. they blow it out with an air line and re use. works well when I sold up 16 yrs ago, we were 50 quid an hour -
UPDATE... checking the car porn thread as an example, all are recovered now as far as i can see
