To me that makes a lot of sense, and Reno converted a parking garage to a Covid unit. The need to isolate and keep negative air pressure on the patients makes it difficult, even when they are not overwhelmed.

To me, the problem is that a lot of the so called "Science" comes from totally patrician Scientists.

I am not sure how reliable that number is. The world pretty much had a lockdown, so auto accidents would drop, due to the drastic decline of automobile usage, while other deaths maybe increasing due to the lack of treatment. -
As I remember, the death of the three during a test was lack of O2. The staff put pure nitrogen in the induced air of the cabin, rather than o2 for fire safety reasons.
-
Ok, but I read today that the number of deaths from all causes is about the same this year compared to the average in the last decade.

Ok but we have had a vaccine for small pox for decades. -

As a practical matter, they are gone pretty much forever, as the world has not seen any cases for decades. There are none of these virus strains in the wild. -

I question that statement. Small pox, Spanish Flu, and a few more virus have been eliminated and extinct. -

It is my understanding that it does neither directly. Vaccines work by not allowing the virus to invade your cells so that they can reproduce, hence you do not get sick, and if a virus cannot invade a cell it dies naturally. -
As to taxes, there is 2 Tahoe's The California and Nevada state line goes through Lake Tahoe, so the taxes on the west (California) side are miserable! Not only did I have to pay California's sky high income tax, but they actually forced me to pay a penalty to leave for Hawaii. The Nevada side (East) is totally different - Nevada has no state income tax. The killer with Tahoe is the regulations! You must get permission to pull a weed out of your garden...

I actually just sold last summer a house in Homewood on the west side of Tahoe. Foergot about working from home there, as a major storm would hit and it would be 1-2 weeks with no power or internet. But the prices have skyrocketed - I listed it on Tuesday, and by the weekend I had several offers above the listing price.

Yes of course. It's a cat and mouse game. They try to guess which strain will hit the following year and make a drug for that strain.
-
But the flu shot only works on a few strains of the flue and it changes every year.

To me, it sounds crazy. I understand that the vaccine stops the virus from invading the cells so it cannot highjack them, and with no means to reproduce, they will die. -
https://troypoint.com/ This guy is the best!

The reason for the annual shot is the typical flu morphs into different strains and the powers to be get together every spring to decide which variant will dominate in the fall. They need several months to manufacture the new vaccine.

Dental Braces - Anyone got any experience of them ?

I had a tooth extracted a while ago, and the Dentist said that I needed to have an implant becase if I did not, then the teeth would move to fill the void. So my answer is Yes, they should work. -
There is a good reason for that decesion. The store does not know where the bag has been or if has been contaminated, so they prefer not to have their employees touch a potentially dangerous item.

I had bladder cancer 10 years ago and they took out a tumor the size of a cigar. It was only by accident that I discovered it from a random piss test that showed blood in the piss and in less than a month, they stuck a rope up my dick and played pacman and cut it out. Two days later, I was back at work.... And it does come back! I have a checkup every 6 months and it returned several times, only to be removed.

Mt.Lassen/Lake Almanor, One Last "KISS", few Guitar pics...

Actually Tahoe traffic is worse than the bay area, as it is stop and go (mostly stop) at all times during the busy season. I almost bought a house on Donner lake Road (The South side) and the traffic was much better than Tahoe with far less building restrictions but a much smaller lake. As for the sale time, it was literally sold within a few hours after the listing with several offers above the listing price. -

I just sold one 15 days ago in Homewood and never again!! The bureaucracy is unbearable - It takes years to cut down a tree! Plus when times are normal, the traffic is unbearable. 4th of July weekend it's impossible to go anywhere as hiwy 89 is stop and go the entire perimeter of the lake. -
In the US, that's called escrow, which is independent of either party and legally neutral.
