  1. I have been dreading this news Alan. Most upsetting to hear. RIP to Jan. My heartfelt condolences to you my friend and those that knew her. Try to stay strong mate, not easy I know. ❤️❤️
  2. Crazy league the championship.... Last week we were robbed of o home draw against @coxyhog Watford... Fucking goalkeeper deserved an Oscar after he failed to control the ball... Never in this world was that a foul. 70 minutes, young Adam Wharton controlled the game against the big boys, then 2 goals in the last 7 minutes for the Hornets... Heartbreaking.... Watfords bench proved decisive. Our bench was made up of academy kids, the CEO ( c**t) the tea lady and Stephen Hawking. Christ! I'm calling Watford FC big boys. Sorry Coxy... But Bristol City did what we should have done of we had your resources. And today against a shite Huddersfield town side... We got battered again... We are on the usual death spiral to league one. At least @Derek Dangleberries dirty Leeds got beat by the nobenders. Looks like @Pumpuynaraks Southampton and Leicester will get promoted as I think Ipswich will drop into the play off's. One saving grace is that the 6 fingered gurners from turd Moor are guaranteed the drop. Couldn't lay a glove on Liverpool. Bollocks to venkys... Sell up and f**k off pronto!!!
  3. Some really nice posts here. It's an upsetting thread and it's really brave of bms to post their experiences. It's not easy to do, especially this time of year if you are a sentimental old sop like me.
  4. I subscribed earlier this year. He's half Thai and does something a bit different. A very good presenter imho.
  5. ❤️ A red heart for Jan and a blue heart for our football teams 💙 No worries Allan.
  6. As @roomark says, we are thinking about you mate. Bowel cancer got my mum and non hodgkinsons accounted for my younger brother at 46. Watching my 6 ft and 13 stone brother wither away was awful. Such an awful disease. Reading your other posts in various threads, you are a credit to Jan and a credit to yourself Allan. You can't have done anymore than what you are doing now. Well done and very brave. You will get through it even if you don't think so yourself. Most of us have experience of what you are going through right now and it's bloody hard. Be safe mate and take care. 💙
  7. In our country it should be a "no brainier". Put ourselves before others. To me, hospice care should be top priority for those who are dieing and hopefully dying with dignity and our sick governance sit back and allow those with a conscience to fund such things by the way of donations. It's all wrong to me. Horriblely wrong. Let's send millions to India for sending a rocket into space but not look after our own. I'm growing sick of the handouts the UK and especially England gives to thousands and thousands of bloody wasters from abroad. Stop it and pump the money back into the NHS and especially hospice care for those of us who were actually born here. Pissed off.
  8. I donated to the local hospice when my mother died. She was cared for at home by their wonderful nurses. Vert special people indeed. Making a donation is the right thing to do and it will make you feel better aswell. Our government should buck up their ideas, stop sending money to countries that don't need it and invest in hospice care.
  9. Less tolerance to all ages tbh. People have become puppets to their own mobile phones. Pathetic.
  10. Whilst folks are attached to their mobile phones and walking around talking to someone about nothing, not watching where they are going I'm bloody sick of them. I'll fucking swing for one of them one day. And it's all ages. By christ, can these people not walk anywhere without having their faces glued to a phone. Sad buggers
  11. Looking at what's been posted then I'm absolutely fecked. I've been in Sweden now for knocking on 3 years and only had 1,yes 1 night without alcohol. Im not trying to console myself by saying its just beer as I don't touch spirits but I know I have a problem which I never thought would happen. Telling you all that I drink 3 litres of water every day won't help also. I'm functioning OK in everyday life but my appetite is declining, especially with the shit that's on offer in Sweden. Like G said, I'm retired and bored. I have to change my lifestyle and pronto re smoking and the beer.... I'm already experiencing stomach problems. I think I've ruined my stomach lining.
  12. Your first paragraph has got me thinking because I hadn't thought of that reason. But you maybe on to something there. And, you are correct, she has him wrapped around her grubby little fingers. For instance, whilst he was staying at her place, he put together her new bed and sofa and then got rid of the garbage. Muggins he can be. As for your last paragraph, I wouldn't say he threw my offer back in my face. He was very humble about it but told me he need some time to himself. Which to me and my wife is fair enough. But, I think it is his way of being able to see his wife by being allowed to use her shower and toilet. Kind of clinging on.... No pun intended. I've told him a few times that he is welcome here with us, especially as he's considering moving apartment himself as there are to many memories at the place where he is now. He would save a shit load of money per month if he did it but we are of an age where privacy and stuff could be more important. At the end of the day it's his choice and I've told him to bind his time and not do anything stupid. Trying to tell him not to fawn over his wife is a waste of time because I know 1 phone call from her for shopping etc etc.... He will be there helping. Only for her to be fecking about again this weekend with the Arab fraternity. She's even had massive eyelashes attached.... My word, she looks a completely different woman from the one I met 8 years ago. Ugly.
  13. Thank you. Now, I noticed you still have slab head in your starting 11 when I reckon most of us benched him for injury reasons. On Wednesday he had a 50% chance of playing and today he had 25% chance. If slab head starts this weekend I'll be convinced you are good mates with Pep. Lol! Watch this space.
  14. Don't worry Derek I've just calmed down! We are an injury hit squad, tired and punching above our weight but we should have had a penalty for handball. That said, your forward players are too good for this league whilst we don't even have a fit striker and haven't had since the big lump Gallagher got injured. I won't mention your game up at Sunderland mate but good luck for what remains of the season, apart from our trip to Elland Road.
  15. An update on my friends situation with his stupid wife. It's a weird one tbh. She's moved out and got herself a one room apartment no bigger than our living room. My mate has stayed in his own apartment until his landlord did some much needed work in the bathroom which would take around 3 weeks to fix. So, my friend has moved into his wife's tiny apartment so he can avail himself of a shower and toilet facilities. He was offered a room at my place but declined the offer as he thought that it would be better to try and iron out the situation with his wife. Now, this is where it gets daft. He comes over to my place for a meal and a few beers ( alone) then after about 3 hours his wife walks in, not even a courteous knock on my appointment door! She spends less than 10 minutes with us, gives him a kiss and a hug then fucks off! She looks absolutely shit BTW. What was that all about!? Yesterday, my wife phones me and asks if I have spoken to my mate, let's call him Jurgen for now. Apparently his wife has now asked him to leave her apartment and said to him he should come and stay with me and my wife. All because he snores a bit.... Which he doesn't. So I call him and he tells me he would rather spend some time alone back at his apartment than come to my place. So he's there now. No toilet or shower and will travel to his wife's place to use those there!!! The penny really hasn't dropped has it for him? Anyways, he's welcome at our place anytime he wants. Still trying to fathom out why his stupid wife called at my place when me and Jurgen were eating and drinking.... Checking up on her husband most likely the 2 faced cnut.
  16. Have you decided not to elaborate Glass? No problem if so.
  17. Lirch at Swampy. Don't worry he was allowed in.
  18. Unlike @Stillearly.... Who only posts when he's winning, he only posts when he's wiiiinning, posts whens he's wiiiiinnnning. Got me coat already and I'm fecking off right now!
  19. Watching the movie "se7en on TV. Washed down with this ridiculous Swedish brew @10.2 %. Abv. What day is it tomorrow?
  20. I know having a 2nd team is not the norm but I have a massive soft spot for West Bromwich Albion. First football kit I ever had at age 4 was West Brom. And the first football match I ever attended was Burnley v Albion in 1968/9. I'll never forget players like the late Jeff Astle, len cantello, Tony (bomber) brown, Willie Johnstone, mick Martin and more. Then the great side of the early 80s... Regis, cunnigham, batson, statham, Gary Owen, Peter Barnes, john Osborne, Derek wile, Alistair brown etc etc. What a side they had back then.
  21. Yup,,, as I said. A defeat at Hillsborough. Typical Rovers who looked really tired. Having said that, the referee (who I don't normally slag off) had a fucking nightmare as did his assistants and the 4 th official for Wednesdays 2nd goal. Changed the game completely. Leeds United up next at Ewood. Lock up your sheep ffs! No idea what our team will be with 10 first teamers injured. Bloody nightmare.
  22. Bollocks to Leeds, West Brom, QPR, Watford and Leicester.... The Rovers, the most successful town club in Britain, are on the up! Oops! I just remembered we are owned by Indian chicken farmer shysters who didn't realise that there was relegation from the Premier league. Sheffield Wednesday up next who are next to useless so a guarantee of defeat the usual rovers way!
  23. Prefer a bottle on the balcony and being bollocked by the wife than listening/ knowing anything about those you mentioned. Just couldn't give a F.
  24. Dear G. Just be careful and take your time please. Good financial advice isn't free but it's damwell worth it if you find the right people to deal with. Good win for QPR tonight.
  25. Couple of photos from October this year. 2 lads tidying up old telephone wires outside the mother in laws house. Please note the safety boots and safety harness!!!!!
