He's still in great shape for his age now. I often watch his former fights and he was an animal. Did you watch the re union between him an Frank Bruno? it's on YT and is a really uplifting thing to watch, given that both have had to face demons of their own.

Yes mate..

I watch his podcasts "Hotboxing" he's also done a couple of brilliant ones with Joe Rogan.

You can tell the shape he can still get in the way he trained for Roy Jones Jr

He's very clever and well read he knows loads about history of fights and different cultures/ history too.

Different animal nowadays.

Don't believe I have ever been banned from any establishment.

I was refused entry into a disco below a Holiday Inn in San Francisco once, I was 28 at the time, but the doorman wouldn't let me in as I didn't have ID with me.

There are a few places in Pattaya where I would happily been banned as I had no desire to go to them ever again.

I only ever got kicked out of a bar once in Pattaya - it was a music bar on the corner of Soi 16 and Walking St, forget the name now; anyway, I had ordered a glass of draft beer and when it came it was flat - when I tried to convey this to the server, she  didn't understand and called the bouncer(s) over. I tried to explain to them that the beer was flat and asked for another, but all I got in return was "you pay, you pay!!". Well, my further attempts to explain the situation got me nowhere other than promptly escorted out of the bar, never to return.

I had much the same thing in Billabong Bar, LK. I was on a trip down from the village, so probably about 15 years ago.

There was no band on that night, but a party with their own music ... Some drunken woman tried to sell me some flat beer from the party rather than a fresh one from the bar.. I complained and an argument ensued in English/Thai/Isaan until she ran at me with a cleaver. She was tackled by a Thai guy but then security just pushed me out shouting "GO! GO!"

I have had a few weird experiences in that bar with farang too but not for this thread ...

When I was in college I was in a titty bar in Pensacola, Florida sitting at the stage and the dancer kicked my beer out of my hand just as I was bringing it to my mouth for a swig. The dj saw this and had a new beer brought over. It got to me at the same time as the bouncer. He kicked me out because the stripper told him she kicked my beer because I called her a bitch. In reality, she did it because she felt she was being ignored.

Either way, I had to left. My buddy and I got to the door and daylight hit us in the face. We couldn’t believe we got kicked out before sunset.

I got kicked out of a karaoke bar in Okinawa. Another Marine and I had stumbled into it one night. It was way before karaoke was well known to us. The other customers were all Japanese businessmen unwinding from their hard day. Everyone took their turns singing Japanese songs, which they took very seriously. We looked through the song list, which meant nothing to us and pointed to a song title. The mic came to us and we started singing Quiet Riot’s “Cum On Feel The Noize”. It didn’t take long for the microphone to be taken away. We went back to our beers and listened to the others politely. Later, we apologized to the bartender and asked if we could try again. We pointed at another unknown song and we were given the mic once again. We tried singing the Japanese lyrics, but it sounded too much like “Cum On Feel The Noize” for our audience’s liking and we were asked to leave.
