  1. Generally stick to brands although happy to look at alternatives. I can only speak for myself, but in my experience over the years branded goods appear to have come down in price, perhaps as a result of unbranded competition and overall brand competition within an increase of the likes of Aldi / Lidl in the UK.. I note that Branston Beans are now very popular, challenging the king of beans that are Heinz. For example, a pack of 4 is £2 in Sainsburys, Morrisons etc but only £1.50 (£0.37.5p a can) in B&M Stores, so a 25% saving on the usual retail price. However, Tesco's own BB are only a £1 (£0.25p a can), though...some difference and I do recollect trying these many years ago and found them a bit watery and salty/sweeter than your Heinz. For the sake of 12.5p, I'll stick with either Heinz or Branston.
  2. I like your style. Binned her for trying to mug you off with copies ...pfft!
  3. Chicken Fajitas ( the making of- we scoffed them down so I was too slow get get photos) which the Mrs spiced up with some Fresh thai chillis.
  4. And after ‘eating’ the above Binlid meal THIS is what I should be eating. Looks tasty and some big 🍤 there
  5. Salt n Vinegar with a large dollop of Tartare Sauce and that would go down a treat. Perhaps a couple of slices of buttered white bread with it as well...mouth watering
  6. Cars was one of my first records I remember from my childhood, with Drumming is my madness by Ringo Starr being my first purchase a year or so later. Chart Hits 81 was my first LP......I feel old now😞
  7. Spaghetti Carbonara plus garlic bread. Was nice.
  8. Had a walk around Bristol Docks which was pleasant in the sunshine, a stroll of just over 5.6km which we did in a leisurely 1hr30mins as we stopped to look at things, grabbed a hot chocolate etc Forgot to get photos which is a shame as once the mist had been burnt off by the sun it was lovely and the docks and houses above looked really nice. Managed to bump into two of my old Uni lecturers, a bloke from the pub ( Lord Mike), my daughter’s old deputy headmaster and Justin Lee Collins, who is a local, minor tv celebrity ( now disgraced). home now and I’m told we are having spaghetti carbonara for lunch with garlic bread. Bring it on baby.
  9. Interesting thread and ‘coming out’ of your own personal fart etiquette . im staying tight lipped about mine😎
  10. Looks great there nice little place with plenty of character
  11. I generally go for a short walk first thing on a Saturday to get my wife a Latte, a few croissants and Pain au Cocolates plus a bacon sandwich for the boy. It also gets early morning fresh air after Friday nights excesses in the pub, but as they are closed, the walk can wait til 10 ish and for the last few weeks I’ve gone to a local Butcher and got some decent Back Bacon for my sons Bacon Sandwich.
  12. Nice looking bike. Takes a bit of look but the geometrics, if that’s the right word make it a very interesting design / style. A bit out of the ordinary make ls it a bit of a head Turner. I like it. 👍
  13. Tins are clearly underrated. Same as frozen veg, which I’m led to believe is as nutritious as ‘fresh’ veg from Sainsbury’s
  14. Spuds are a nice addition ( hope I got that right and their not boiled 🥚 ) 🤣
  15. D’you what that looks lovely. Is it like a sort of tea cake loaf ?
  16. The Jewish gag was fantastic “Meet me half way , buy a ticket” 🤣🤣🤣
  17. Bought this for my holiday ( whenever that may be)
  18. Agreed. He seemed like a decent guy who didn’t take life or himself too seriously and was a decent entertainer
  19. Short walk over the bridge into Leigh Woods and took a few shots looking back. It started off a bit grim weather wise first thing but by 10am was quite bright. Now a tad cloudy. A couple of iPhone photos
  20. Not sure I’ve ever had bacon on toast sandwich - must try it
  21. For me, the Yorkshire Ripper case raises the issue ( for me at least) of when someone is that evil and unlikely ever to be released from prison then is the death penalty the most relevant way to deal with the situation? This way it’s an absolute removal from society and also a significant ( probably millions of £ of taxpayers money which could be spent on other things, for example treating ill people etc)
  22. Very nice lineup. Something for all tastes there’
  23. Garlic butter makes it look a bit oily but Twas Loveleh
