  1. Yesterdays trip to The Mall Bangkapi, picking up my weekly allotment of " Salmon" from Thammachart seafood.
  2. Well.....if an article comes from a Thai source, she might listen LOL! She is going to fall on her ass one day if she keeps standing on the concrete like this.....I hope I am there to see it
  3. Watering the garden, trying to save the plants in the heat....
  4. Ah Alan, yes "Gina" a fine choice..All natural, took this pic back on Halloween 2017. I think she was about 28 years old then, she is probably about 35 now.......beautiful Vietnamese girl for sure. Really nice personality and likes red wine.
  5. Well Cliff, like you, me and many others, we are NOT the same as we once were....1976 was a long time ago. Pete Townshend was amazing that evening at "Winterland" One other thing that sticks with me as a 19 year old back then, how in god's name did Daltrey swing that microphone out into the audience like he did, several times it came close to me, then pull it back and continue singing and never miss?? Truly amazing.. God I miss the 70's.....
  6. Yeah Photography is a good hobby, cool a dark room back in the day? Outstanding. Yeah do you ever get any "looks" from all the camera phone guys these days like" Why don't you just use a camera phone"? I do....what ever. I like the challenge of actually trying to "focus" myself, without using the "auto focus" Plus, having a decent zoom lens, just gets good pics in my opinion. This is what I store my equipment in..
  7. Yeah Nikon makes great equipment too......the technology these days is amazing as far as these DSLR's and Lenses. Are you happy with your Nikon? We have come a long way since I first bought my first camera 50 years ago in 1974...Minolta SRT 101....scraped by as a struggling college student to buy a "Vivitar" 135MM lens for concerts...can never forget using a roll of 36 Kodak Ektachrome film back in the day. The challenge was after you took your first 36 pictures, could you unload it at a concert, and re-load your next roll of film without dropping it LOL! Yeah and a few "bong hits" didn't help either LOL! 20 or so years ago, Costco started taking slides and transferring them to a CD.... Glad I survived all of it back in the 70's...these concert pics and others are priceless to me.
  8. In a 2 story home upstairs with no air-con....trust me, it wouldn't help!
  9. Wifey tells me the local news here in Minburi, is reporting that the " experts" meaning the guys who watch the power grid here locally, are concerned that there might be an "overload" soon. Great, just what we need, for the power to go out!
  10. Call me what ever you want, but I had no idea about "Sangsom" until I came to Thailand. For some reason though, on boys night out, if I decide to drink hard liquor, that with Coke is my go to choice...still to this day, really like the feeling I get after a few. Ever tried asking any bartender or waitress here " Do you have Crown Royal"? Chok Dee..
  11. Great narrative Gord, just a few questions..we missed this place a few weeks back. We did hit "Myth" for a quick drink after dinner one evening...it was OK. So if you know, what time does the band start? 8:00pm, 9:00pm? Does the air conditioning make a difference? Can you tell it helps? Hate to be the downer, but still for the life of me, do NOT know why they let these bands play as loud as " Deep Purple" back in 1972 LOL!
  12. Wow! Thanks for posting this Gord.....sad day for me as I am a big Moody Blues fan...wifey likes them too. She said their lyrics are easy to understand. Mike Pinder sadly left the group in 1978, after they recorded the album " Octave" He did not want to tour, Dec 1978 at the Oakland Coliseum Arena was the first time I ever saw them. Justin Hayward, John Lodge, Graeme Edge and Ray Thomas were all there. They let Patrick Moraz do that tour when Pinder did not want to go out with them. They were great that night.....just a great band live.
  13. @Pumpuynarak Beautiful yard Cliff.....well done. We pay 500 baht per month for 24/7 security, one way in, one way out, with that though, every Sat the village street sweepers come by on foot and clean up every house in front of leaves, other various debris etc. If you want more, you have to pay them to come inside your yard for various things. Do you have that too there? Love your huge lot, unfortunately at wifey's house here, none of them are that large.....I trim the few things she does have.....but not in this fucking weather LOL! This tree here, I was out there for 10 minutes the other day.....that was it. It can wait LOL! Your wife is looking great these days.....it's hot outside now, don't be out chasing her around the front yard with a "woodie" The neighbors might see you
  14. Well....most guys are NOT going to admit they liked some of Michael Jackson's material....I am going to check my ego at the door and say some of his material was brilliant. This one for me...has a great message. Very well presented.
  15. Anxiously waiting for Fed X to arrive. They called me last night and told me my lens I bought from B&H photo out of New York will be here today. $1,510 Baht import fees, Vat etc will be due of course... Geeked up LOL! 16. Well I couldn't agree more, Cher is now in too??? Eeeeee gads! Thank god Peter Frampton and Foreigner will both be inducted in October....now......Styx has GOT to be next year!
  17. 6 weeks ago, I bought a new CD player here at one of the fancy, dancy open markets here locally. These young guys know their shit right? They speak good English too...you can imagine the look on their face when I roll up with my Honda SUV and ask them to show me some of the "CD players" they have and if one is available LOL! They didn't even laugh at me..thankfully. There were basically none on the main floor, but they had several in the back room right? This kid brings out this "Kenwood" player, tells me all about it.........OK done deal. Installed in 1 hour, 4k baht out the door.....this thing is great, all my CD's I had shipped over here work well. Was downtown at Siam Square about a month ago, they had this old school type shop located outside, across the street. This one store had a ton of used CD's...100 baht any one you wanted.......knowing what I had in my collection.....I DID NOT have "Frampton Comes Alive" I have it now......"Do you, you...feel like I do"
  18. I hear all of you, it has been 100 degrees or more here in Minburi for the last 8 days. It is supposed to get even HOTTER every day as we go into next Tuesday, topping out at 104 degrees......geez and for me it seems like the humidity is down, this feels more like Las Vegas in July weather. Can't wait to get back to Calif in June.......got tickets to see John Waite, Foreigner & Styx and see some Baseball you know?
  19. Always amazed in Hua Hin, how the tide goes out so far you know? Great pics...
  20. Every once in a while, I go to the darkside. Sad for Coolio, died of a Fentanyl, Heroin, Meth over dose.... "Power and the Money, Money and the Power, Minute after Minute, Hour after Hour"
  21. How about the " 3 stacked" Secrets pancakes in the morning after a "bender" from the night before? Sept 2017 picture. ....Just a side note, still to this day, when I stayed at Secrets, the Lasagna that chef made, was outstanding. Never forgot how good that was.
  22. Outtanding, an appropiate name for sure. This was my gal one time. Before you even ask, no she DID NOT take off her glasses LOL! Seems like yesterday you know? Is it kind of creepy that I actuallly liked the sounds they made when doing the deed?
  23. Never did any of the places in Pattaya, but this place my buddy Jim and I did a few times when in Bangkok. Just lay back in the leather chair and let the fun begin.
  24. Well said Glass, saw it up close and personal last week while there. Went out a few times by myself down Beach Rd a bit....got asked multiple times if I could help by taking a massage from these gals.... So did you eventually find somewhere/someone to take care? Hopefully...
