I always tried to put up some decent TR's and pics when I joined Secrets back in 2010, not that I had to, I just enjoyed taking notes/ diaries and pics of the little darlings and always thought that when I grow up to be an "old hack" and maybe get married one day again, it would be fun to look back on. Oh Jesus, that's where I 'm at now LOL! Funny as was talking to my buddy Jim last week who lives in Austin Texas, who accompanied me for the last 5 years on our yearly trek to Thaland , were talking about Pattaya and Secrets and were saying that on a visit in 2011, two of the girls told us this was the best place they had ever worked cause most of the guys that came there, were cool, friendly, paid well and were not always a bunch of "older guys" I was only a young 56 years old then! Had some great girls from there, always good attitude and fun and were game for most things. Met some great guys and people in Secrets over the years for sure. But.........let's not forget what the late, great, Evil Knievel once said " You can have alot of fun in life, god knows I did, enjoy it while it lasts, nothing lasts forever"

Outstanding pics and good to see a part of the world neither I or my wife have been to......yet! Good to see and hear too that you are well on your way to fully being recovered.

Beautiful Terry, wifey and I are firming up a trip here soon for August.....tough choice between Vancouver and perhaps in your area..The Rocky Mountains. Summertime here in the states in Calif is real nice.....take her down a few blocks from the house here to jog at the local High School. She digs the weather here and no humidity and loves running outdoors in the morning, where I like running here after dinner.

Gave my Son the Blackstar amp a few weeks ago that a friend of mine at the gym gave me, he is always on the look out for a new Guitar so he traded in one of his "Jackson" Guitars and picked up this beautiful, Teal Blue Flying V signature model by Dave Mustaine. Quite the beast, sounds great. The " Cleans" on this are just incredible. What do I do? I am just the " roadie" and plug in and move his Guitars around LOL!

101 degrees here in San Jose, Calif yesterday, 95 today, wifey said it feels like Thailand......33% humidity, not even close to Thailand. Am still depressed and feel bad for Kevin Durant.......

Buckner was great, saw him as a Dodger in LA one game. Sad that he had to live the rest of his life with that one error in the WS.

I think I read a few days ago, that one has already died trying to summit this year so far. He was a Dr here in America with a wife and 4 kids I believe. Takes some real balls to want to do this.....would not be for me.

Incredibly sad day today, Baz introduced himself to me and my friend Jim back in 2013 at Secrets, then bought us a round of drinks, then Barsie sent over a round to us and from then on, these guys were part of the great people I have met over the years in Patts. We traded taking pics of girl stories, had a laugh or two and he had taken some top pics over the years. He was one, pretty mellow guy and seemed to be enjoying his life in Ko Chang. Was glad to have seen him back in Sept 2018 at the Secrets party...... RIP Baz....

Appreciate the inputs gentlemen, Ok next question then.....having a turbocharger better for gas mileage or not? Surprisingly I really thought the gas mileage might be a bit better, considering it is only 4 cylinders.

Ok so bought a 2018 Lexus Suv NX 300 the other day from the local dealer. My Brother was kind enough when back in the USA for a month or so, to let me use one of his extra cars so we did not have to rent a car. But….wifey and I will be in USA now for the foreseeable future, so I decided we needed a car of our own. Have always bought Japanese cars the last 30 years or so, so it came down to this SUV, did a lot of research and the Lexus and the Nissan were top picks. Decided to go with the Lexus as the guy took some money off the price and threw in a 30k service when we get there. It has 12k miles on it now and was a lease rental. Am happy and I am sure wifey will be too. Not an engine expert by any means, this thing is only a 2.0 Litre, 4 Cylinder Engine…..but has a Turbocharger? Why? Just always assumed Turbochargers are for much bigger engines? Guess not. @Pumpuynarak….Will keep the CRV back in Bangkok and wifeys brother will come over once a week to start both of our cars up and drive them on occasion until we get back.

Very nice gents, I am picking up a Lexus SUV tomorrow. Used 2018 from the dealership. Been using my Brothers car when back in town, but wifey arrives 1 week from today, need my own wheels as we are going to be here for a while. Dam kind of regret selling my Infiniti back in 2016....but you can't cry over spilled milk right? @Rompho Ray Like that color man, and 38 MPG with gas prices today, well done. @Shaksey Beautiful color on that Benz......well done to you too.

Well.....am I the only guy these days who likes Cottage Cheese with Peaches? Still find that to be a nice after dinner pleasure. Few years ago had wifey try Cottage Cheese here at home in Calif right? Should have seen the look on her face...not good.

My buddy at the gym who is a firefighter gave me this Amplifier for my Son a month or so ago. Was given his marching orders by his wife to clean up the “man cave” as they need that room for the first grandchild arriving in August. The Blackstar will be a great addition to his Marshall and Boss Amps he already has. Don’t know what got into me, but having looked at a few videos of guys who have their Amps on stands and other various things I saw, decided to try it myself. Not known for my “wood working” skills by any means, decided to give it a go. 29x12x25 was the size I was going for to make a nice fit right? Well……go ahead and make fun of me, it took me 4 days and multiple tries to get it right. The Hammer ended up in the street one time I was so pissed off LOL! But a quitter never wins…….. and a winner never quits Na Krap? Stained it myself (that was the easy part) borrowed an electric sander from one of my neighbors. Currently hidden in my closet with the Amp and will give it to him for a surprise for Memorial Day. Respect to you guys who do this for a living…. or for fun, have the desire………………. and most important, have the patience.

Alan, my Son tells me Michael Schenker is a beast...the owner of this Guitar store where I bought my Son an Amp, said that 2 years ago, Michael Schenker came in and did an autograph signing. That day they sold 7 of his " signature" Flying V Models. He also said he was a real nice guy and talked to everyone there and answered all the questions etc. Here is a pic I took of the "Dean" Guitars that he has a line with.
