  1. Heard this yesterday in the car and it completely made me forget my daughter's white knuckle way of driving. The ultimate happy, clappy, sing-along pop record. Altogether now............."Dancing in the moonlight, its a supernatural delight"

If it has Sky it will have Sky news? I wonder how many Firesticks are being used for streaming?
  3. I watched the Jude Bellingham announcement on Sky. They displayed a list of the highest transfer fees paid for English players. Jude Bellingham at the top and in third place was ............................Harry Maguire at 80K. Unbelievable! Freudian slip! I meant to say 80mille for Maguire. 80K would be his going rate!😄

At the end of the day, money talks.
  5. I am not going to watch it just in case Declan Rice gets injured before the Gooners buy him later this week.

I just watched Rory on Sky Sports being interviewed about this merger. He rambled on, often repeating himself, trying to justify (to himself) why it is now OK to take the Saudi pieces of black gold. He really sounds to me as if he is about to have some kind of mental breakdown or maybe it is simply a good job he is a good golfer because he is just plain thick?
  7. I worked with a guy when I was based in Birmingham who fed his German Shepherd on pie and chips he used to buy on his way home from a local chippy. He tried other food but the dog just loved chippy steak pie and chips.
  8. Can you still get Pie, mash & eel liquor? 😄

Rory has not been the same since he boxed himself into a corner becoming the de-facto mouthpiece for the anti Liv brigade. Politics and sport invariably do not mix and he has allowed himself to adopt an entrenched position and I bet it is praying on his mind. To me the highlight of the golfing year is and always will be The Ryder Cup. It is the "Show Business" of golf and I want to see Europe pick the best possible team of "Winners" and I don't care a toss if that includes one or two individuals who have chosen the Liv route. Grow up Rory and stop being a big girls blouse.
  10. I have ridden hundreds of bikes in Thailand. Only two had wheels.
  11. I received a refund cheque for 53 pounds in the post. Who gets cheque's these days? My nearest Bank of Scotland branch is too far for me to walk to with my f***d knee and hip. Phoned daughter number one and asked her to remind me that when she visits next Friday to bring with me the cheque and you can kindly park close to a B of S branch. "Have you the B of S App on your phone?" says daughter. "Yes?" says I "Then you can scan the cheque into the App and don't have to visit. So I open the App and low and behold one of the options is indeed scan in cheques. The App even provides an old farts visual demonstration. Once I managed to stop my hand shaking whilst doing the scan it was dead simple. I learned something new today. 😄
  12. In Thailand I believe there is a "Toms" category for Pattaya's "Husband of the year" open competition.
  13. It happened so fast and unexpected that I imagine those spectators were in shock waiting for their minds to catch up with their eyes. Alternatively, maybe they were all thinking "Stupid C*nt!"
  14. I worked with a guy in the Watford branch of an insurance company whose hobby was doing parachute jumps including exhibitions and sporting events First game of the season in the days of Graham Taylor and Elton John he and two others were supposed to land on the center circle. Not only did he miss the center circle but he managed to miss the ground completely and broke his leg on the pavement outside. I think they stopped parachute payments for good. 😄 I was at the Villa first night game against Blackburn in the then brand new Premier League. I think they used the Parachute Regiment to do similar and they all landed on the center circle coming over the stands from several directions. Very impressive indeed.
  15. They will have to spend million upon million to have any chance of staying in the PL. Fucking awful ground in a shit awful Town. Relegated by Christmas. Back in the Championship in time to cancel the new ground .
  16. I am still very happy with my OPPO phone. It has outlived the complimentary case I was given when I was the Supermarkets first customer to purchase (at the time) OPPO's latest model. The phone goes on and on whilst the case disintegrates. Just ordered a new case from Amazon. 😄
  17. f**k it! Cream always floats to the top. Ginger Baker played Polo. Not many people know that!
  18. Foo Fighters were good but I would have loved to have been the first to post "Cream." Mai pen rai
  19. I would not have heard of him if you had not mentioned "Titus Pullo" and the Rome series. What a really good series that was and I can visualize him in it now. He came back from a campaign somewhere and his wife had to hide the sprog she dropped in his absence. 🙂
  20. I use Amazon a lot to download to my kindle but I have my own tried and tested approach. I look for new (to me) authors who have written a whole load of novels as a series. The first in the series can often be free or no more than 0.99. If I get hooked on the first one I then work my way through the series often paying 2.99 or so from then on. I am currently reading: The above is the fourth in the "After Dunkirk Series" and each one now is 3.99. Its a really interesting and exciting series with several "stories" taking place within each novel. For example, you have the "Resistance" being established in France with great risks being taken whilst the Blitz is hitting the UK. Plenty of aerial action but supported by what it was like for those behind the scenes who have to go on when "The Few" get less and less. It also features a family in Guernsey, the nearest of the Channel Islands to France and what it was like during the occupation. Two sons go off to fight leaving their mother as the matriarchal one left to deal with the Germans. Book four "The Giant Awakens" brings in the USA following Pearl Harbor. I have only just got into this one and it is heavily featuring the relationship between Churchill and Trueman. I was not aware that Churchill had a heart attack during his visit to the USA in 1941? Anyway, the series is good reading and I am enjoying it immensely as historical fiction of all genres is my favorite.
  21. What I learned today was that it was an extremely bad idea to pull my bath towel off the rail, opposed to lifting, as this resulted in the rail and my anti pissing on my feet night light both in several pieces on the bathroom floor! With some difficulty, due to my bad knee/hip, the rail is back up and the night light in its usual place although now held together with copious amounts of sellotape.
  22. I am not having much luck with my choice of films on Netflix. Mixed reviews but I thought giving Jennifer Lopez a try in "The Mother" would be at least interesting. I had to give up on it as the film was so dark including all the daytime scenes. At first I thought I had maybe been playing about with the settings on my TV but it was not that at all. I tried a couple of alternative films at random just to see them load and they were fine being my normal great picture. Has anyone else had this problem with this particular film?
