  1. Sorry, removed by me.
  2. Was in Walmart they had retro Schwinn Stingray's in the original colors by Schwinn. Very cool $125 USD. When I was a kid the originals cost $99 USD, which too me was a million dollars and beyond my means. On display was the green one which I thought was very cool as a kid. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Schwinn-Sting-Ray-Bicycle-single-speed-20-Inch-wheels/841993718
  3. No doubt a Thai Lives Here: Thai address plaque & Bangkok Budda Statue.
  4. The Killing Fields Monument to the Dead This was the most depressing day of my life, my visit to the Killing Fields & School 18. Despite visiting PP many times I will never go back to those sorrowful sites. Sat down yesterday and watched "First They Killed My Father" on a grey rainy day. Great photography and technique capturing the innocence of the young children, the photographic beauty of the Khmer people and the contrasting cruelty people are capable of. In the first twenty minutes I began to prepare myself mentally for the graphic violence that surely loomed. Starting to feel reluctant to continue viewing. This family was very fortunate in very minor sense, many families were totally killed off. The Khmer Rouge were a Khmer version of the Chairman Moa's Red Guard and the movement back to an rural agricultural society that was taking place in China, with similar results. The Western Press mainly focused on China's Red Guard. The Western people/Press where weary of the decades of War in Indo China and satisfied with the ending of the War in Viet Nam. There was no desire by any Western government to get involved in Southeast Asian politics. So in the Western Press it's almost like Southeast China did not exist (Cambodia). When news articles appeared they were relegated to the back sections. So the Khmer Rouge terror in Cambodia happened in isolation on deaf ears. The only news and indications of what was going on in Cambodia I can recall was reports periodically of finding dozens, sometimes hundreds of bodies floating from Cambodia in the Mekong River (in the back of newspapers, in small obscure news slots). Gut ripping and emotionally straining watching the story unfold. The Ending at the Reclining Buda Temple was a beautiful scene. Anybody now were this Temple is?
  5. I got censored, warned and made to acknowledge my offences several times for talking about Jeffery Epstein on Pattaya Talk. Have not been back since. PT becoming over moderated.
  6. Just something to think about. December last year the China Virus was just emerging in Wuhan, China, The flu season in the Northern Hemisphere starts with the cold weather. The airlines appear to be on a collision course with returning to normal and the next flu season.
  7. China has successfully pulled off germ (virus) warfare sneak attack (think of Pearl Harbor WWII) on the world and now plans to make economic gains from it. China allowed people from infected areas that had a high probability of being infected to exit China and travel the world. Then China lied about the severity, lethality and the transmission of the virus to the World. Then the Western Press expunges any reference of the place of origin in the name of the virus (Wuhan Virus, China Virus) for the sake of political correctness. China fails to close the source of the Wahun Virus The Live Animal Markets. Already the source 2 previous Pandemics. Then there's the disappearing Doctors in China. The world should Quarantine China until …
  8. Speaking of panic buying: I went grocery shopping for the first time in two weeks. Last time only toilet paper and paper towel aisles empty. Today lots of empty aisles. The Feminine Hygiene aisle was totally empty. This puzzled me initially (only required every 28 days), then a passing thought put me into hysterics. Could they be using leakproof, form cupped winged Kotex for face masks? Are they using the tampax for nose plugs?
  9. Lanza, be strong and hoping the best for you!
  10. I watched this about year ago. Enjoyed it.
  11. Yes, this is same story but in English and color, worth a watch. Just finished watching City of Life and Death. I had seen it before, but watched it over again. Good the second time.
  12. Thanks may have watched it some time ago. But, will try to find it and watch. Another good Chinese movie is "John Rabe" It is about a German Businessman that saves purportedly 250,000 Chinese from Nanking during the Japanese slaughter. True story.
  13. About 4 years ago I started watching Chinese made Historical War movies. Many of them are quite good. The Chinese remake of The Sand Pebbles (think different name) and the Rape of Nanking/Black Sun are very good movies. Then there is a few about the Chinese underground in Hong Kong during WWII. Netflix is a good source.
  14. Watched Ford v Ferrari on home theater system at full blast. Didn't expect much, found it quite entertaining. Also after watching Midway at full tilt volume. The dive bombing scenes with flack, altitude count down, made the dive bombing process feel endlessly nerve racking. A theatric white knuckle experience. Would be great movie to see in 4D theater.
  15. The Hard Rock closed on February 3, 2020, for approximately eight months of renovations. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is scheduled to open in November 2020.
