  1. Adele is not my cup of tea. I am one of the Debbie Harry obsessives.

  4. The rich, earthy scent of ozone after a tropical thunderstorm.
  5. Same, the Dynasty Grande was my first ever hotel in Thailand. It was very new itself at the time. I subsequently tried about 8 or 9 different hotels along the Nana/Asoke strip over the years but always had a soft spot for Dynasty Grande. The website is still up but has no updates and it is not possible to book anything through end of 2022. We shall keep a light burning.......
  6. I hope the Bull stays there even if Bullies doesn't survive. They had a very nice chef there back around 2018/19.
  7. Always good to see up to date pics of BKK. It will be good to get back.
  8. Interesting to see that Siamese troops occupied Neustadt in Rhineland. Good video, cheers!

  10. At least you can tick the West Lothians off your bucket list now. 👍
  11. Been quite a long time since I read a John Grisham. Halfway through this one and so far very entertaining.
  12. Arctic Chill by Icelandic writer Arnaldur Indridason. Set in an Icelandic winter it is about a half Thai boy found dead. Gripping stuff set in a bleak, poorer immigrant area of Reykjavik.
  13. I was speed reading through that post and misread the last word. I thought 'shit the cat must have been on the homebrew as well'
  14. In the same draw I got £4.60 for two numbers plus one Lucky Star. On Oct 1 I matched two numbers for £2.90. On a roll this month.

  16. A very informative and entertaining travelogue. Thank you. You never quite know what quirky little things you will find at some of the temples around the country.

  18. Classy send-off for Jean-Paul Belmondo: https://twitter.com/BFMTV/status/1435986567605194760?s=20
  19. R.I.P. Jean-Paul Belmondo. One of the greats of 1960's French New Wave cinema.
  20. Yes, condition stable. I'm not ready for the knackers yard yet but they don't want me galloping out of here just yet. It will be a while before I feel like strapping the old feedbag on and I have been warned I am at increased risk of Hay fever. I'll get me donkey jacket...
  21. On the advice of a BM here I took Ivermectin and got a sore throat. I went to my doctor and said 'Doc, is it serious?' He said 'Naaaaaaaaaaay laddie, you're just a little horse. But to be on the safe side it is best if you hoof it down to the horsepital' So off I trotted and now I'm sat in the examining room with my legs up in stirrups and a fecking doctors arm up my arse. To make it worse the cnuts name is Dr. Herriot
  22. RIP Ed. To be honest I was surprised to hear this as I thought he had been dead for a few years but glad to hear he lived a good long life.
  23. If the question was: Thailand - is it Like a Virus? I would agree, an addiction certainly.
