Popular Post Yesitisdakid
Moto taxi to the bus station 50 baht Bus from Pattaya to ekamai in Bangkok 131 baht The sky Train and Subway to the train station from ekamai 54 baht The train from Bangkok to the Border point 49 baht I didn't go myself so I asked the touts at the border about the minivans to see him reap they told me 10 bucks us so 350 baht Total 634 baht or 18.25 US. This trip obviously isn't for everyone but anyone that wants to see a lot of Countryside and has the time it really is a great way to get there you can fly there in an hour but as I've posted before I like to see what's between point A and point B. Should anyone decide to go up and cross at this Crossing I highly recommend you getting an e Visa online before you go. The minute we got off the train you get swarmed by guys that want to help you get your visa well if you've got the e Visa you don't have to worry you just walk through the tunnel out of Thailand and into Cambodia very simple. And on the Cambodian side there are many many buses that are going as they fill up to Siem Reap. I had a hard time getting it across to the touts that I was staying in Thailand and not Crossing into Cambodia they followed me all the way to the hotel which was about 200 M from the train station trying to get me to let them help me with the VISA that I wasn't going to need they're like vultures. 8 2

Golfingboy
Good info Larry….634 baht hardly buys you 10 minutes in a taxi here, it’s even worse in Europe

The train from Bangkok is six and a half hours. So you add the time to Bangkok I'm guessing maybe 9 hours. Like I say there quicker ways.

The journey is often better than the destination......

In this case you're correct the journey was better than the destination if you're not planning on crossing the border and staying in Thailand the little town at the border is kind of a jerk Water Place at about 9:00 everything seems to close up and other than the big Market there there's really nothing going on but the three days I was there it took me that long to see the two markets completely.
