The city has many grand painted ladies would love to see more photos of them, especially from unconventional views. Thanks Laz!

The Alfred E. Clarke Mansion, also known as the Caselli Mansion, Nobby Clarke's Castle and Nobby Clarke's Folly. It's a mansion at 250 Douglass Street on the corner of Caselli Avenue in Eureka Valley, San Francisco, California. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_E._Clarke_Mansion

Popular Post Butch
It took me and a mate 3+ hours to lash this down as it was going to be stored above deck on a Container ship bound for somewhere. The bloody chains kept coming loose because we usually use a combination of Spansets and Chains, but Spansets are more reliable as a rule, this was chain only if I recall because the tracks were classed as sharp edges so could fray the material webbing of the spansets, potentially causing a problem during transit. We also added 2 lengths of 6x4 at each end to keep the bloody thing from moving. I took some snaps of the inside but lost them sadly😞 I understand that it is an "Archer" Anti Tank weapon from WW2 era, based upon a Valentine Chassis with the Gun mounted facing what would have been the rear of the Tank, thus the Archer was faster in Reverse than going forward. The Gun was a British 17 pounder, this example was missing the breech but otherwise complete, including Radio!. If you look carefully, you can see the rear outline of a Sherman, of which I have some pics somewhere. Another fun job, and yes, I didn't realise they were that small inside!.
