  1. Only been in there once, very popular with the Russians- could get very messy at that price. How are they making money?? Beats having an empty place I guess, are they hoping the drinkers order some food as well?
  2. The ordinary Ploughman's looks excellent, my only worry would be if would be too much food for me at a lunchtime. I struggle to eat in the Patts heat and tend to go very light for lunch, most times won't have one. Amused then to see this on RH's Facebook page "Some of our customers have asked us if we can increase the size of our ploughman’s special.Well we have listened. Here we have the Big Boys ploughman’s lunch which we are running alongside our standard 199 plate." Guess these guys are reading of Mr Penevil's " How to lose weight in Pattaya" blog🤔🤔
  3. Gutted Amazing cricketer, but what a man. As a commentator said everything that Neville and Carragher, had neither the courage nor the integrity to do so. Hard as the message was to give , never afraid to call out an ex-player.
  4. Ah, I though they counted each round of fixtures as a "week". So tonight's are wk15 and Saturday's wk16. Something else to learn from playing this year😎 I shall have to save my bench boost then
  5. Seem to have caught the footballing mastermind asleep on the job 😴 My tactical decisions have been pretty woeful on the whole, but Vardy versus Watford? He has to score, doesn't he 🤔
  6. Always happen to bring a little culture to your Manor😁 And a timely reminder to get down to the Museum of London🎸👍
  7. I left Wilson on the bench😀 To be fair, so did Eddie Howe to begin with !!!
  8. Just watched a full rerun of the game as live- shocking the way the Ravens steam-rollered the Rams. Cracking analogy by the expert summariser who described it as the The Wire versus Peyton Place😁 I don't understand the Economics of the NFL, but know there is a salary cap and the Rams have Goff & Donald taking a large chunk of their cap, and now they apparently will have to agree a deal with Ramsey? So you've got a team being slaughtered with no money left to change it. Poor old BM Yessongs.
  9. Great job not succumbing to the temptation of being on the piss everyday 👍Must help having a great place to stay and work to do, but well done!!!
  10. Yes , my 2 extra transfers cost 8 points, and defeat by the mighty Armchair Athletic. Am building for the future😉
  11. Has taken me till Week 13 to realise that you can make more than one transfer in a week No holding me back now😎
  12. That does look excellent, made me have a look at their Facebook page, some fantastic looking food. I'm not normally a fan of cut & paste, but lifted this from their FB, posted yesterday as it did seem directly relevant. Obviously they are going to talk up their own place, but I've been put off by hearing so many poor reports in recent times (that's put me off re-visiting having had some great meals a couple of years back" Copied from RH FB "HiI’d personally like to clear some things up for reasons we here at Robin Hood would like to leave well behind in the past.Earlier this year we found ourselves in a situation of taking over a restaurant that was failing in all aspects after a 50% staff walkout. We were simply being thrown in at the deep end, we were in one hell of a mess.In a short time I was very fortunate to develop a great working relationship with the Retox Team and I can class these guys as my good friends. The great quality and consistent work that is coming out of the kitchen is down to Retox’s Executive Chef who oversees all of their work. He, along with myself have put a fabulous team together, and I’m happy to say for me are the best thing that’s ever happened to Robin Hood. The positive reviews we receive about our food speaks for itself. Combined with a hell of a lot of long hours and hard work from myself and my front of house team, every single person has gone the extra step helping put Robin Hood back in amongst the mix of the other great sports bars/ restaurants in town. (Of which there are many!) Good healthy competition can only raise the bar, and give our valued friends and customers an even better experience in this extraordinary town. To clarify any preconceptions people may have, the only affiliation the Robin Hood Tavern has with Retox is with the Executive Chef. He is a part time consultant and also keeps me in check….So... unfortunately as we did have a request last week - if you have a Retox Voucher you may need to spend it in there! The most recent news is we do have a new addition to our kitchen. Many of you may have met him, a young and brilliant chef who has been busy being particularly hospitable over the recent times! Yes, thats “Max” - he’s very unique in every way, and well I think just come in to meet him, try his new menu and decide for yourselves. I’d like to thank all our customers old and new for the continued support these last 6 months, I might almost admit that I’m really enjoying this business and making some new friendships along the way. Much appreciated Gaz and the Robin Hood team"
  13. Yep very solid, seemed to really dig in and graft in the first 2 sessions. Just watched the highlights, slightly worrying that the Kiwi's seemed to figure out Sibley about an hour into his innings. Switched their attack to outside the off-stump, until he knicked it. Don't think he will see much at aimed at his stumps/pads for the rest of the short series
  14. Possible Reading a little more online, Decathlon has expanded quite aggressively into Thailand with 9 stores- maybe a more aggressive marketing strategy, and forcing people into memberships is an idea that stems from that? Obviously just speculating. Thinking more on the topic, had the exact same in a Pro Cook store, where on sale I had to give an email. That then sent me a receipt and spam 😀
  15. Had the same experience in the Pattaya store, just gave them a less used email. It does mean you get an electronic receipt, on top of the paper one. Which is handy if like me you are excellent at losing receipts😀 Coincidentally bought a few items in Decathlon in the UK yesterday in store, no need for membership but you are asked if you are a Decathlon member at the check out. Feels therefore that this a policy just being implemented in LOS Shame and I do understand you not wanting to become a member./give up your details. Sad thing though is their gear is excellent, cheap and really high quality.
  16. Sounds like a cracking night, very kind of Jambo to get the food👍
  17. Suspended indefinitely, end of season as the minimum Remember when Duncan Fergusson got a 3 month sentence, for head-butting another player? There was a certain old school honesty to his on-field violence, none of that here. Took a hard line with burglars too 😀
  18. This is even a huge story in the UK, headline news on the BBC website front page, alongside UK Election news America will be going crazy waking up to this😊
  19. Seems to be ongoing speculation that he's got some sort of degenerative injury and won't be the same player again
  20. OK👍 I've had some great nights out there too
  21. Can't agree with you on BKK being "world class". For a first time visitor I'd agree on it being fantastic for all the big tourist attractions Grand Palace, Wat Pho etc. But a "world class" city- no. Inadequate public transport (the airport rail link is a disgrace), unchecked pollution, rising cost of living and for tourists given the strength of the THB less and less of a bargain. I can pay less or equivalent for meals/drinks in London, get superior food and better service. I've done BKK to death and find the idea of going to KK or UT, and up to Laos far more interesting, and have enjoyed this TR accordingly. Would agree with you on Tawandang on Rama III being great though. Possibly the only nightlife venue I can think of in BKK that hasn't declined markedly in the past 15 years.
  22. In your shoes (snow I'm guessing), I'd be in Asia every winter. I'm very lucky here in North London, very temperate climate, no extremes of hot or cold. Your cold would kill me off but the lack of daylight, would be too much Enjoy Patts
  23. Just the players? Is this the McVay magic wearing off??
  24. First November in about 15 years that I haven't travelled in November/December and can honestly say I'm looking forward to it. Went to the races yesterday was out in the "cold" it was 41 degrees with a bit of wind, for around 5 hours with odd coffee and betting break indoors. Really enjoyed it, had forgotten that feeling at the end of cold day outdoors finding a nice warm pub to sit in 😀 Knocking in 5 winners may though have clouded my judgement on how pleasant winter in the UK is 🤔
