  1. Damn.......US Dollar going the wrong way......was hoping it might make it to 37.
  2. Tilapia, Carrots, Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes last night.
  3. Just checking in with Valentina..you know to make sure she is dressed appropriately for the office LOL!
  4. My wife has a sense of "calm" like no other. Recent trip to Hawaii, this guy asked her what "island" she was from? Ok I admit, she does not have typical Asian girl eyes, but she gets asked alot if she is an "island" girl. She then strikes up a very nice conversation with these people and all is well. I told her next time anyone asks you that, tell them "Ka.... I am an island girl from Patong in Phuket" LOL! No one ever asks me if I am from the UK? Hee! Hee!
  5. Late to the party here sorry..I looked over a trip report from 2006 in Patts right? Girl from one of the go go's after an LT told me" It's Ok if you do not want to pay me this morning, can you come back tomorrow and I just need 500 more baht, it's OK Ka" ? True story....that never happened to me anywhere, ever again.
  6. Great classic car pics Matt...I would buy this Mustang in a heartbeat from last year here in San Jose. Love this color..
  7. Saw this at the theater here in USA, god what a great movie with all real time cameras of everything they all did. Truly amazing to see on the big screen. I have to say, that if I was a kid at that age and they told me what they were going to have to do to me to get me out, I would have been scared shitless. Those young Thai kids have ice in their veins and same for all of the rescue divers who went in and got them. Saw them when they made an appearance on TV here in USA on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Talk about polite/respectful kids who know they dodged a bullet in life.....they got to go to Universal Studios here too and was great to see them thankful for the people who paid for this so they could go.
  8. My Son just sent me this picture of his pool they just got completed last week......nice. Looking forward to getting a dip in here in a few weeks. We leave for Kauai, Hawaii Tuesday for his wedding. I asked him if he and his finace are robbing banks or what....this is course was not included in his brand new house they just bought. I'm not jealous or anything LOL!
  9. Nice set of pics Blue Streak....boy I am just thinking, I bet it smells real nice down by " Soi Arab" with that Klong running in the back huh? LOL!
  10. Yeah Stu, Fon, Da or what ever name she was using at the time was very cool...good LT and good value. Nice long legs too 😆
  11. I got pretty much the same after 17 years or so of LT, not one ever told me she has to leave. One did in Phuket I remember, she told me " She has to take her boyfriend to work, he no hab ride today" I kid you not. My buddy Jim and I took these gals from Secrets one night back in 2014. Next morning the gal I took offered to take me to breakfast and pay for it..........at Secrets of course. Wonder if she is still around?
  12. Spot on...here in San Jose, hardly ever use the air conditioner. It was 70 degrees yesterday here and this is supposedly summer? There are some things here in Calif not to like, the year around weather is not one of them. My PG&E bill is usually $110-$115 per month... At wifey's house, it seems to me that the electric bill runs about 2.5-2.8k baht per month for a 2 story home.....worth every penny.
  13. My Grandfather on my Mom's side worked in a "boiler room" of some sort down in Long Beach, Calif. Got the impression it was very hard, physical labor.
  14. If ZZ Top comes here again, I might suggest that during " Sharp Dressed Man" they bring these gals on stage with them LOL! @Pumpuynarak Hoping they come to Impact Arena one day and we can get our wives up there with them huh? LOL!
  15. Very nice pics......that last picture of the fish laying there dead as a doornail, has my name written all over it......without the onions though LOL!
  16. For me, it is STILL hard to imagine, even more so now that things are getting somewhat back to normal, that at least 1 airline cannot find a way to be profitable for them to offer perhaps a once per week flight non stop from the west coast here to Bangkok. I would think SFO would be a great choice for this.
  17. Sent money over to our account last week in Thailand, I cannot take the chance that it will go above 35. 35 per $1 USA is pretty good. Thanks for your efforts posting this up.
  18. Geez Butch, man I am glad to know that I am not alone......I watch wifey work out in the back yard sometimes. I was beginning to wonder if I should go see a "Psychologist" Was worried that I was turning into the old, creepy white guy LOL! Thanks for re-assuring me it's normal? Hee Hee Hee..
  19. Out to The Cheese Cake factory for dinner and "Top Gun Maverick" last night. Both good... Tom Cruise is a "stud" I hate that guy....of course wifey was all "eyes" on him. Looking forward to next summer and " Mission Impossible" She was so concerned that when he was shot down...she leans over to me with her voice "quivering" asking me " He not die right" Oh Jesus...
  20. Just curious, is it just a re-pavement/pavers of the overall Soi? Geez have not been down there since Sept 2018.
  21. Dinner with wifey tonite, then over to see "Top Gun Maverick" Any of you seen it yet? Is it worth all the hype going on? I like Tom Cruise's movies, Mission Impossible series are all good too.
  22. Nice try but no.......I am the guy at age 20 that was lying down in the yellow shirt in front of my buddy who was drinking the beer.
  23. If anyone cares, my buddy sent me this photo of us in June 1975, waiting all day outside The Cow Palace to see "Yes" Can you find me in here? LOL! The Cow Palace in Daly City...an institution really.
  24. No doubt Alan, ZZ Top has my respect from back in the day playing arena's, now playing small ampitheaters for the love of the music and the fans who still like their music and want to turn back the clock a bit. Yeah, you should see some of the "estate homes" driving up there....$5 Million and up. They probably hate ZZ Top though LOL! This place is just a phenemonal location. You will not be disappointed if you do go....hope you get the chance. LOL GB....we got to get you out to Calif...there were enough "Birds" at this show you could have dazzled them with your Canadian accent and told them " Hey look, want to come back to my hotel loom and slip inside my sleeping bag"? Thanks Cliff.....good to hear you like ZZ Top, great driving music and sadly they did not play Rough Boy and was hoping they would, the set list though was quite good of the material they did play. Geez...you know how those Thai girls are.....you should have seen wifey out of her seat during "Legs" Jesus Christ she was dancing like a bar-girl...alcohol works wonders on her LOL! I kind of liked it 😆
  25. So Rachanee and I went to see ZZ Top at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Calif set high in the hills where all the rich people live. I really like this place, just outstanding. 12th row seats in the center, just a bit to the left of the stage. Hit “Krungthai” for dinner before the show. After went to “Straits” for a drink then headed out. 75 degrees when we pulled into the parking lot. Nice night out there. Last time I saw ZZ Top was at the Cow Palace, July 1981 with Loverboy as the opening band. Sadly, original Bass Guitarist, Dusty Hill passed away last year, they now have his Bass Tech named Elwood Francis, who knows the music quite well. Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard are the 2 remaining originals for 51 years now. Billy Gibbons was telling everyone when he took the job, he was clean shaven, 6 months later, rehearsals for this tour started and he grew a beard and he will fit in quite nicely with me! Aerosmith is now the ONLY band together for 50 years that have all of the original members still with the band. 8:00pm out they come….they launch into “Got Me Under Pressure” then the rest of the night was just all of the great material they played over the decades “I Thank You” “Jesus Just Left Chicago” “Pearl Necklace” "I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” “Sleeping Bag" “Sharp Dressed Man” “Just Got Paid” few others and closing the show with “Gimme All Your Lovin” and a blistering version of “Legs” with all the women just busting out of their seats letting it go! They brought out those Guitars made by “Dean” with all the white fuzz on them…just like in the video! I have to say, Billy Gibbons is 72 years old now, man that guys “Growl” and that voice he has, has not changed one bit. He still sounds amazing. Was pleasantly surprised at how many women were at this show dressed to impress….seriously. Encores of “Tube Snake Boogie” and “La Grange” closed out a great night, clean, crisp and clear performance….well done to ZZ Top.
