HONDA PHANTOM My friend is stuck in OZ, from COVID restrictions and then a stroke before he could return. He is selling his house and wants to sell his bike. It's a 200cc Honda Phantom 15 years old, genuine 42k mileage. Oil changed regularly. It has been kept on his verandah for 3 years and the road tax has expired. He is looking for offers to buy the bike. PM me if you are interested, the bike is close to Big C Extra

I still remember when Triumph opened their Chonburi factory and I went to checkout the prices. The same model was more expensive here than in Australia, with all the shipping and import taxes added on!

A guy is in the men's toilet when a big black guy comes in. He sneaks a sideways peak at the guys equipment and sees a tattoo Wendy' What a coincidence he says, 'my girl is a Wendy as well' 'What you mean mon, it says Welcome to Jamaica and have a nice day'

It was the same with the WS tiles, took them ages to fill in the pieces. Very easy to trip and fall.

OZ $ not doing well. I got 24.61 on my Wise transfer in October. -
What guts, two sets and a break down and he climbs out of that hole to win. Kokkinakkis looked to have it sewn up. It is still ridiculous that they are playing at 4am. To fit in with TV broadcasts overseas I guess?

In Thailand it's never a waste of money if the right people can get their time at the trough!

No expert but I recall reading that when you transfer money into Thailand to purchase property you need to get a form called Tor Tor Sarm (sp) Apparently without this form it is difficult if you want to transfer that money out in the future.

I just spoke to my son and his wife. They really struggle at Christmas time. 3 years ago my 17 year old Grandson was killed in a motorbike accident 4 days before. Every day since has been hard for them, and his younger brother, but this time is very tough.

25 years ago my sons (now) wife came to Australia from Japan to work and travel. They met in Central Australia and traveled together (he was a photographer and spoke fluent Japanese. A few times they went into Returned Servicemen Clubs, for food, drinks etc and she couldn't understand the sometimes hostile reception she got from older males. He explained to her Japan's 'exploits' in the 2nd World War and she was horrified when he showed her articles about it. She knew nothing about it, was not taught this history, and it shocked her. Perhaps an example of what happens when governments sanitize their history

We just did the same from Pattaya to Angeles city. Used a local company recommended by GF Filipina friends. Two 'jumbo' size boxes, picked up and will be delivered to our home in Angeles. Looking at your photo I would say each box was about the size of two of the smaller boxes you used. Each box was 4,800 baht.

'On the other hand, I keep my Thai SIM at maximum validity by topping it up every few months with online banking.' Yes, me too tho I use the machines scattered around town. Unfortunately my friend is not internet savvy anyway but he was only going for a month, but we know how that went awry!
-
Yes, I thought that as well. The problem there is that the phone Sim that they would send an OTP to has expired. To change that phone number he personally has to go into the bank. Also the same if he wants to change his maximum daily withdrawal amount. When they told me this I asked them how could it be called Internet Banking.

Photo the 'Allowed to stay till...' date as well

If you do have (800k) be aware of what can happen if u are caught out of Thailand and unable to return A good friend has been here 20 years and goes back to OZ once a year to see family and a medical check. Last visit Covid struck and he couldn't return. 6 months ago he had a mini stroke with 10% memory loss. Kbank won't let his son withdraw funds, even with a power of Attorney, notarized by the Thai embassy. He has no ATM card to withdraw from OZ. Even if he dies his son has to present the will and go to court to get approval. Mind boggling restrictions. How much money is tied up this way!
