  1. Whilst up in Petchabun a number of accidents happened to me. Luckily non to serious and non booze related. Trying to get out of the van and I slipped, trapping my arm between the van and sliding door. Bent forearm backwards. Should have taken the photo before it started to look a bit better.
  2. Another I've just remembered. Not the film itself but the "morlocks" who featured in the 1960 movie the Time Machine. Must have been the early 70s when I saw the movie and them morlocks scared me to death.
  3. 1988 my first car was a vauxhall nova 1.2 ltr. Shite.
  4. Reminds me of the Russian soft drinks salesman.... Dropuzabottolovpopov
  5. This grumpy looking cat is only 10 months old. For me it's the friendliest cat I've met in Thailand. It actually stayed in our room for the night. It did piss on my Blackburn Rovers t-shirt though.!
  6. Shit, shave and shower then into Bangkok to see Carabao.
  7. Absolute class that movie. Brian Glover the former wrestler I think. They were the days!
  8. Are you the one that farted on Derek's towel? Getting to close together you 2!! 🤐
  9. When playing football in the school yard during break times (late 60s,early 70s) every kid wanted to be either George Best or Bobby Charlton. Never saw him play in the flesh but seen many times on TV. A true gent aswell. RIP to a genuine great.
  10. His main excuse was that he didn't trust them one bit even though he's never been in trouble with them. Wife said the same but added that if they thought I was drunk and taking the piss, things could go pear shaped quickly and involve the rest of my Thai family. Needless to say, I will give them a swerve in the future and reserve my friendliness for others.
  11. Done it many a time in England Lemondropkid. Of course they weren't busy at the time. I wasn't trying to have a laugh. I was just saying a polite "good evening"
  12. Had a brilliant night out last night somewhere in BKK.... Went to see a band called Marijuana!!! Coming out of the venue and waiting for a taxi back to Don Mueang, there was 4 coppers talking with the venues security guards. I just jolliley said good evening gents are you OK? Only to be pulled up by my son in law in the taxi. f**k me did I do something terrible? Never ever have I had dealings with the Thai police but surely a polite hello is not out of the question? Probably naive on my part but good god! Farang cannot say anything to the BIB.
  13. As @Pumpuynarak would say "Bingo". Plus a cow in Formaldehyde. Total fucking nonsense. Each to his own I suppose but modern art does nowt for me. Total shite some of it and could have been done by a 2 year old on steroids. Went to the gallery on trafalgar square one time and was in awe at the paintings from hundreds of years ago... Pure brilliant talent. Been to the Vatican and seen more of the same. Beyond belief given when some of these works of art were done. Michealangelo... Would be turning in his grave now if he saw some of the crap being churned out as art.
  14. I think apart from watching the Exorcist and the Omen trilogy the only other horror movie that genuinely scared me was that Blair Witch Project.... But I was an old bugger by then.
  15. As I kid I used to dote on the "Tales of the Unexpected" but my favourite was always the Hammer Horror series. Loved Peter Cushing and Vincent Price.
  16. As @Stillearly posted, that childcatcher fella from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang scared the shit out of me as a kid. I was a quite a bit older when I first watched the original Excorcist movie. It disturbed me to be honest but whenever the chance arises I still watch it as its a classic. Going back to 69 - 73, one series really did spook me as kid. It was prime time viewing around 6 pm on a Sunday. Doubt any UK bms remember but the series was called the "Flaxton Boys". I found some of the stories scary to say the least. Filmed on location up at Ripley castle near Harrogate. A young actor who later played the lead role in another classic "Kes" was in series 2 I think. David Bradley. I hindsight, knowing what we know now, "Jim, ll fix it" would be the number one scare fest. Along with Rolf Harris' show.
  17. Just watching his YT vid re a small explanation as to what happened. The amount of support via the comments is unbelievable. It's like most of them were actually there at Maggy Mays.
  18. Also coconut flavoured tobacco candy.
