Yeah, tough to watch for me, being a bay area guy from Calif. You know I am NOT an expert but.....seemed like the 49ers defense, really played badly the last 2 set of series. Ok so in OT we go down and get the 3 points, then the defense can't get 1 stop with 1:53 left on the clock and they let KC go down and get 3 points too? Then they let them march 75 yards for the final touchdown and at no point they can get a stop and win the game? Just frustrated.....you knew it was not going to be the 49ers day...one of their better linebackers, Dre Greenlaw, just jogging on the field, completely wrecks his Achilles Heel and will not ( according to reports) be able to play next season as this is a 1 year recovery???
  2. Come on man, The Gong Show was a big hit in my "crib" How can as an American, you not like "Gene, Gene, The Dancing Machine" Hey.....after a few bong hits, it was pretty funny.
  3. How about the "8 Ball"? I used to play with this thing for hours....and I actually believed some of the things it said.
  4. Arghhhhhhhhh! The 49er's let this one slip away.....on that last drive, that gave the Chiefs the win, the defense looked gas! I hate Mahomes...and after seeing what Travis Kelce did to Andy Reid on the sideline, he is a punk too. I am going to go finish my half bottle of Johnnie Walker now!
  5. Well, we were all 22 years old once, it's when you get to be 67, that you really appreciate when you see a show that is on another level...Coldplay are the real deal....no doubt about it. Going to an EDM/Techno Club on a Sat evening...now that is how you feel 22 again LOL! Will work on the narrative and pics and post up probably Friday.
  6. Will have a taxi come get us at noon today, spending the next 2 nights at The Marriott Soi 57 downtown. Going to see "Coldplay" tomorrow night at Rajmangala Stadium...hoping for a good couple of nights. They just played 6 sold out stadium shows in Singapore, 2 shows here, both sold out too.

  8. Now this is smooth! Keep it Gansta Dog LOL!
  9. Ah Glass, your boy Yessongs was a huge presence in the clubs back in the 80's, that is where I met wifey #1. She was digging me, watching me "cut the rug" LOL! This one was played EVERYWHERE!
  10. Ok so since no one has talked about life in USA...let me weigh in. Has there been changes there? Of course, some for the better, some for the worse, just like Thailand. Like most Americans, I am disgusted about the illegal immigration going on, high housing prices, the rise in overall crime, traffic etc. Don't get me wrong, I like Thailand as a general rule, but...I am not going to bash Calif. I have always been able to filter the "noise" coming from the Political side of things. I have always said and still tell people when they ask me, at the end of the day, I am still American and will always love my country. I still like Calif alot quite frankly, still have my home there, my Daughter is in Texas and my Son in Calif and for that reason alone, I will always want to be in USA at some point. I have also told many people when they ask me about Thailand, that quite frankly Thailand absolutely has some things America will never have, on the flip side, America has things Thailand will NEVER have...for me the weather in Calif is second to none year around. I hate the air pollution here like everyone else, and the dreadful humidity takes a toll on me too. Yes Thailand is cheaper to live, but I don't think that in my opinion, that makes it necessarily better. I certainly miss "sports" back home, I can no longer go to San Jose Giants Baseball games, no longer go see my old "alma mater" San Jose State play Football, can not see The San Jose Sharks play Hockey or go see The Golden State Warriors play Basketball anymore either. Wifey loves sports too, seeing it live, is so much better then on TV. These are just some of the things I miss from back home. At the end of the day, we all have choices we have to make that works for us.....
  11. I was at that Electric Light Orchestra show Matt.....Sha Na Na were NOT the headliner.....they were terrible to say the least. ELO were at their peak around this time. Ah Winterland......god, what a place.
  12. In my case back in the day, when ever I would have a massage gal come to my room at what ever hotel I was staying at, if they showed up on time, did NOT blab and talk the entire time during the massage, kept relatively quiet, made a good effort to do a good over all job and when on "the flip" DID NOT ask me " How much U pay me"? then a very good tip was given to them. Several did well, others did not. I was never a cheap charlie when good services were provided...
  13. Wow, respect to you for EVEN trying to do this...humidity, age and crap air to breathe here is a recipe for disaster. I do not have any "respiratory" problems, and would not try this. I miss running outdoors for sure. Sadly, wifey misses it too....we both hate running on the treadmill...but have no choice. Sadly, you have to give up some things when living here year around right? Nice pics...We used to go over to a city called "Los Gatos" once a month or so and run in the hills...
  14. I am just glad that we have fforest here to lead us with his fine observations....yeah those Thai birds over 50, watch out for sure, these old geezers like me.....we are lucky, or we would have no one to take care of us, and take us out for ice cream after dinner.......we are the "golden ticket"
  15. Along the same lines here in BKK, my Visa is up for renewal this month. I have a "Marriage Visa" so 400k baht is in the bank no problem right? I use my wife's friend she met in college as she now owns an LLC business that also does Visa's etc. From 2016-2019 when I was here before going home until coming back here in 2022, she would come by the house for dinner every year to pick up my Visa. This year the same a few weeks back, get a call from her last week telling me that an Immigration Officer at Chaeng Wattana wants me to be there in person this past Tuesday at 2:00pm. I asked her why and she said "Just some new rules, nothing to worry about and no questions will be asked of you" So wifey and I meet her there, wait 40 minutes, this gal comes out and says my name, I go to the desk area where this Officer is there. She does not say a word to me, picks up all this paperwork, picks up my passport, looks at me, motions for me to look into this camera and takes a pic. Then with her hand, motions for me to leave and that is that. From 2016-2019, I NEVER had to show up there at all.... Talking to a guy from Cleveland, Ohio who was there with his Thai wife also. Tells me the same story, using the agent for years and never had to show up until this year. Eyenong will be here today at 5:00pm for dinner, passport and all in hand and good for another year.
  16. Last night, Salmon, Rice and Broccoli...yeah I know, I eat alot of Salmon. Usually 3 times per week.
  17. Ok so at wifey’s house here, we have a tank on the side of the house. She is a "clean freak” so she cleans the outside probably once a month…..why? LOL! The city of Minburi comes out 2 times per year to drain it, clean the inside and then re-fill. 500 baht per….so that is taken care of. We also have a “soft water” set up inside the house behind the washer/dryer directly off the kitchen. I do the salt tablets and get them from Mega Home. We get our water delivered from “Sprinkle” 2 times per month on Wednesdays. That is run through the water filtration system called “Puramun” water filtration system. Tastes really good. Personally, I don’t care about the “soft water” for showers/baths….buy wifey seems to think it is important…I would never drink any water, under any circumstance out of any tap, here in Thailand and don’t. Bottled water at the gym only.
  18. These guys do not get alot of press per say....they have a good message though. Saw them at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium back in 2004 in San Francisco........Billie Joe Armstrong is a very good writer in my opinion. This is how the Buffalo Bills are probably feeling right now....Ah-Ha Ah-Ha Ah-Ha....
  19. This getting old sh!t is seriously overrated!😂 I was kind of thinking the same, I am closer to 70, then 60, and feel great really! Got my Physical and met with my Doctor Thursday...he said things look good, keep doing what you are doing. Hope this trend continues for a few more years.
  20. Wow! Another "This is Thailand" moment huh Cliff? I would say talk to the "authorities", but we all know how that would go. What a joke...good you got another insurance immediately. Never got in an accident here thankfully, we use "Thai wiwat" for our SUV's.
  21. God I love this......Lennon was great.
  22. Wifey cooked up some "pasta" last night....very good.
  23. Heading out to the Hospital to give blood ( fasting) for my yearly physical...wifey and I do this every year now. Will meet up with our respective Doctors Thursday, and get an assessment.
