  1. Read on another forum Warehouse had a soft opening yesterday. What was interesting in the post is any customers wearing open toed footwear were being refused entry. I'll hazard a guess all that will do is keep the looky-loos out. I expect customers into the nightclub scene, after spending an inconsiderable amount of time in front of a mirror primping before going out, would never be caught dead in sandals anyway.
  2. I can save you 20B. We buy boxes of Strong-K for the hash runs @ 80B for 25 sachets. The supplier is a pharmacy on Soi Khao Noi (link).
  3. By the law of averages, the more people using satnav the more news reports we're bound to hear where the excuse for driving into a lake or canal is, "Not my fault, I was just following where my GPS told me to go".
  4. Excellent vid of the behind scenes filming of Thirteen Lives.
  5. Good idea for a photo project, so dodged the rain drops this morning and did a photo survey. I counted seven, plus one too green to smoke. Last one on Buakhao. Bit green to be rolling into a joint.
  6. My poor bike wasn't under cover, but I did find shelter in a massage shop for an hour.
  7. My side of town a bit heavier than light rain. Looks like it'll won't last long, so only a slight delay in the start of morning bike ride.
  8. Understand there are side effects of taking too much vitamin C. In addition your body can't process all that C, so you're literally pissing away good money. https://www.houstonmethodist.org/blog/articles/2020/apr/does-getting-more-vitamin-c-really-keep-you-from-getting-sick/ In addition, vitamin C is water-soluble, making it hard for your body to store it — with excess being secreted in your urine. So even if you're adult and can handle the 1,000 mg in each vitamin C packet or pill, just know that your body can't absorb (or, therefore, use) more than about 400 mg. This means that most of the vitamin C in that supplement you're taking just goes down your toilet (literally).
  9. You need to give it a longer try to realize the benefits. It wasn't until about four weeks after I started on glucosamine I realized my shoulder no longer hurt raising my elbow above the shoulder.
  10. Another good source for subtitles... https://yts-subs.com/
  11. I used to take a daily multivitamin, but stopped after reading enough reports that stated if you have a well balance diet you get all the vitamins you need from the food you eat. Now the only supplement I take is 1500mg of glucosamine with MSM to help alleviate the soreness in a bad shoulder. Even that I was skeptical about, but after a month of taking the supplement there was a noticeable decrease in the chronic pain.
  12. Google Translate is a handy app to have installed.
  13. I've been fortunate in that I've never had to endure an audit by the IRS. That's for both personal and a couple of businesses I ran in my prior life.
  14. Hope the surgery is going well. Also hope you used a marker to draw arrows around the eye they're to operate on.
  15. This morning they were working on shoring up the leaning utility pole on Soi 15. Meanwhile over on Pattaya Klang they've started the removal of the overhead power lines. Last night I noticed the centerline on 3rd Rd lit up with flashing lights. Seems rather pointless since 3rd Rd is well lit at night. Wonder who's pocket benefited from this latest public works project.
  16. How was the noise level when you walked through TT? I read elsewhere there was talk of the bars cooperating and not competing for customers with their volume knob.
  17. Anyone know @cartoonman IRL? It's been over a month since he last logged on. I had also occasionally seen him out riding his bike during my morning bike rides, but it's been over a month since I've seen him out and about. Hope he's ok.
  18. Symptoms previously attributed to aging.
  19. Traffic on 2nd Rd was backed up quite a bit because of this dickhead. I hung around to see if the concrete basin would fit.
  20. Working on back filling the hole on Soi 15 this morning. The old Buakhao leaning utility pole has been reincarnated on Soi 15.
