Who would you love to see play together in a band?. 

They can be alive or dead, just pick who you want. 

Vocals - Ronnie James Dio - How the hell did that much power come from a 5 foot 4 man. Incredible. 

Lead Guitar - Randy Rhoads - Tragically taken far too young. Amazingly talented. 

Rhythm Guitar - Malcolm Young - Backbone of AC/DC. Brilliant. 

Bass Guitar - Geddy Lee - Amazing talent and songwriter. 

Drums - Cozy Powell - Just a legend.

For me Alan, I would have to break it down into different musical styles /genres. And even then it would be difficult to match up my favourites. 

What supergroups have there already been G?  Travelling Willberries?  Can't think of others right now. 

As for metal 

Drummer... Danny Carey from Tool

Bass......... Lemmy

Lead singer.. James Hetfield Metallica... Plus rhythm guitar 

Lead guitar... Angus Young. 

Prog type rock 

Drums.... Neal Peart 

Bass..... Would love to put Geddy in. 

Keyboards.. John Paul Jones 

Lead singer... Robert Plant 

Lead guitar.. Steve Rothery  marillion. 

Pop music. 

Lead singer...... Freddie Mercury along with Kate Bush lol!  

Bass... Mark what's his name from Level 42.

Lead guitar... Roger Whittaker. 

Drummer.. Mani from Stone Roses

Keyboards....Rolf Harris. 

Didgeridoo.. Jimmy Saville
