That's because those in charge are too scared of a backlash at the polls from those who support illegals. Brexit was a success primarily on the issue of making our own rules. , where are we now?

Street Photographs From Pattaya Area

Danny has a popular sports bar in the back row of Treetown. Must be doing well to open another one in Myth Night especially at their prices. -
Campers, Caravans, Trailers, RVs - Back to the Future & Beyond.

Brings back some nice memories. I spent 3 years traveling the south and East coast in Australia with a gf. Had a self contained RV and camped in some beautiful spots. Gave it up for the mongering lifestyle tho, and no regrets -
One friend is 85, has 1million+ dollars in his investment account plus a unit worth @600k. He retired to Pattaya, went back for a visit, git stuck with covid bans. Had a stroke just as they were lifted, lost 10%+ of his memory capacity. Stuck in OZ, sons don't care to visit, knows no one, lost confidence and scared to go out. A boring existence unfortunately so health and enjoyment for him. Another has no money, 78 now. On a pension with subsided housing so can't move or have anyone share. Also alone and bored, health pretty good but boredom and poverty for him. I remember reading an article that said 'do XYZ and live five years longer' but sometimes the extra 5 are not so pleasurable!

It's not how many years you live, it's the quality of those years that matters most. I have friends many years younger than me who are not enjoying those years.

Free Shipping on Lazada only takes a few minutes a day.....
biggles replied to fforest's topic in General topics
The coins seem to have an expiry time so unless u buy regularly you don't get the benefit. I prefer Lazada as they have COD, if the item doesn't arrive you don't have the hassle of trying to get your money back. Lots of scam sites, ridiculous, low prices where the seller wants you to pay outside the Lazada system. No cod there! -
All OK for me on Huawei smartphone but I do have problems seeing Zeb cartoon posts.

Your first car - fond memories or not so happy ones?.
biggles replied to Butch's topic in On the road
1963, first car a 1953 Ford Custom line. I went to a driving school to get my licence, which was recommended. Out for a drive on the test in a VW Beatle, tester sitting in the back. Pretty heavy traffic but I sailed thru a few intersections where I had the right of way. I heard a few intakes of breath from there. Back at the office he asked what I had been driving and when I told him his response was 'yes, I thought it was something pretty big'. I passed. -

Wouldn't inflation lower the purchasing power of your 2053 dollar tho? At only 2.5% p.a inflation rate $9,827 a month would only be equal to $4,700 a month by then. -
I manouvered myself into a job that I knew would be a redundancy possibility in 2 years. I was tired of constant changes in my workplace and 'retired' at 51, with a nice payout after 37 years of service. That was 27 years ago and not one day of work since. Not one day has passed that I regretted my choice.

I regularly ride a motorbike in Thailand and the Philippines, (oppisite side) and it can be confusing at times. But I am 77 and he is only 31! Maybe he is not a regular visitor to the USA.

What do you think are Pattaya's Biggest "white elephants"...
biggles replied to Butch's topic in General topics
The Waterfront might have been a great success, rather than a white elephant. We may never know thanks to It's illegal construction. -
I guess it's always the same when one team/driver is so dominant. I felt the same way about the Merc/Hamilton era

Hotel booking, do you use Agoda, Website or book direct?.
biggles replied to Butch's topic in Where to stay in Thailand
Booking and Agoda are owned by the same company! Used Agoda many times in SEA over the last 12 years or so and never had a problem. Their promo discounts are often very hard to beat on price. -
I don't know Thai law, but here in the Philippines an attorney advised me that you can apply for probate on your will while you are still alive. This cuts out the delay in processing after your death. Probate is just a process to verify the legality of the will.

Gotta be a fake? The rear suspension should be way down!

Yes, I read the books. Reacher is 6 foot 5 inches and built like a Mack truck!! But after watching that video, much respect, the guy has guts and dedication. And it's not like he needs the money!
