boydeste
This was a first for all of us. Many of these French lakes have crayfish. They can be a nightmare, often destroying rigs, not to mention eating your bait. The owners drop traps in each swim to remove them. The entrance is designed so they craw in but can't get out. Well this pike was chasing a Sun fish, when it dived into the trap for sanctuary. The pike followed it in. When I spotted it, the pike was dead, but the Sun fish still alive. Happy to be released to swim again. Quite bizarre! 4

The bench I normally sit at in the park is partly under a tree, and now it’s covered in sap, so I sit on the grass now.

KhunDon
The graveyard in Sydney where my uncle and namesake is buried. He was starved to death in a POW camp in the hills above Nagasaki just before the bomb dropped. Then his body was dug up and moved to Australia to be re-buried. Most of my family moved to Australia in the 60’s and 70’s, but he got there first. 👍
