Toasted thick cut white bread from the 60's.

My favourite travelling with my Dad in the lorry on the car ferry Southampton to IOW and back to pick up hides from the slaughter house ..

It was the early 60s darling..

Nowt but lashings of real butter, with memories of Rationing still on everybody's minds .... Something that you had to be there to appreciate!

Can't beat thick cut bread for toast, soaked in real butter.

Mustard is cheap as chips !   But I also love good butter ! Something that is very expensive here, as is cheese. Kills me everytime I go to the market.

The missus went to a funeral yesterday & today went to see some mates in London.

So tonight I had a lovely chicken massaman cooked by our mate for the funeral & some brilliant duck from Chinatown.

BTW I didn't go to either.

... Unless of course you aren't referring to the toast but to what he picked from the slaughter house..Normally cow or sheep's hide but often they'd give my Dad a couple of pig's heads for free. My Mum would boil them down to make home made brawn.

Bloody delicious with a good smearing of Colemans English!!!!

Never had, but sure would like to try.

I bet that would be a son of a bitch to clean up if it ever boiled over.

Haven't eaten from this Indian for many years because it went down hill fast.

My mate said it was back to it's former years, so I decided to give them another go.

Very watery curry, but tasted ok.

Won't rush back.

Chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka Masala, saag aloo, tarka daal and garlic naam.
