Butch
I have a fully restored Hakosuka GTR owned since 1992 on a 70 plate, but it is not on the register so I am reluctant of posting pics. Otherwise, some nice metal there 🙂

Butch
My fave Yank car of the 80's, understated and from what I've read, they had quite cult following.

I've only ever seen one 2.7RS, and that was at a car show in Mannheim in 1999. I couldn't afford one then, and I certainly can't afford one now!.

Good score - I'd love to have an M model but they are just too expensive to buy and maintain; I do own another E36 model, though - it's a 1992 325i that was sold new in Japan with LHD and then imported to Canada ten years later; basically a Euro model with a couple of Japanese tweaks. I bought it three years ago with only 106,000Km on the odometer: i I also own a 2003 E46 330xi which has a lot more power and features than the 325i but it's also a lot heavier and feels like it - the old E36 can be thrown around like a go-kart and is also not too difficult to maintain - I would dearly love to find an original, unmolested E36 with a manual gearbox but it's almost impossible nowadays... 1

It was a great drive limited to 155mph and there was'nt much that could see it off. I had it for 3 years and did 40K miles driving from Southampton to Bournemouth daily across the New Forest on dual carriageway, it was real fun. Ahh the memories
