coxyhog
WTF was Mahmood doing bowling a wide when they needed 26 from 4 balls? In other news Joe Root has been named the ICC Test Cricketer of the Year.

True but you’ll notice rooty spoke to him after that, hence the final few balls were safe dollys that went for 6’s as it didn’t matter as the win was guaranteed. They were in control of it. One half decent performance now and again should not give him a place in the side. Salt will probably be dropped once the usual ' face fits' players are back. Banton finally showed what he's capable of. Vince might as well be given up on. Mill's too expensive as usual. Etc.... Top performance from the Windies though, massive target to chase but had a good go. Superb from Powell and Pooran, everyone else did little batting wise. Decent bowl from Pollard. Still in for a shout to win the series as long as we don't lose the next one. Just wish it was on Sky not BT.

Yep, Vincent is too predictable...Barton and Salt were excellent...Brooks like a rabbit in the headlights and Garton swinging and missing till he got a run in final ball to retain strike whilst Salt was clobbering everything 🙈

I thought our bowling let us down, apart from Rashid & Topley there were far too many 'hit me for six' deliveries. That's not to take anything away from Powell & Pooran, they both were excellent if a little fortunate.Powell especially mishit quite a few & they always fell safe. As for Moeen he bowled one over(for 14) & was out for a duck(his second in three innings) so what is the point in him being in the side?
Painter
Agree about Ali. Yes, he has played the odd blinder, but so inconsistent. However... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-10449085/England-captain-Eoin-Morgan-ruled-remaining-two-T20-internationals-against-West-Indies.html He's a certainty for the next 2 games...
