Great - What lens and camera settings did you use for the airplane ones?

Thanks. That prop plane is named "Fat Albert" ...

"The Blue Angels use a United States Marine Corps Lockheed C-130J Super Hercules, nicknamed "Fat Albert", for their logistics, carrying spare parts, equipment, and to carry support personnel between shows."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Angels

. . .

@lazarus Outstanding pics Matt....Beautiful day up over the bridge huh? Was your Daughter " gleeming" over these?

Yeah...beautiful day...I was on the top of Twin Peaks. Warm and almost no wind. The day before the wind was howling.

The 'princess' was not interested. I left her at home for a battery recharge day. We had a 8am soccer match this morning (Sunday). She played the entire 60 minutes (they won...now 4-0-2 for the season).

Nice view from the top of the hill...

“The Blob” Could be this. I watched a program on TV last week about this single cell organism.
Be very careful, it’s very clever. 😉

I'm going to guess a pelican. Which specific subspecies I don't know. We have brown and white pelican here where I live. Quite common, but it doesn't quite look like a brown.

yessir...a pelican...

the bottom half of one like this ...a brown pelican (that sometimes have a lot of white feathers)

The odd thing is that from that angle I can see it's a pelican, from the underneaf it looks very different.

Great pics as usual.

Back in the late 80's when I was in the Corps we did a CAX out at 29 Palms Base in California. Massive desert base there. It was a combined arms exercise and there was a US Navy F-18 squadron as part of the air support. When the CAX was over and while we were still in the boonies, the skipper of the Navy F-18 squadron put on a one plane show for us. We were told he was a former Blue Angel pilot. Quite impressive and as he did not have as many restrictions he made some amazing low passes. Screaming by and some really cool vertical climbs. So cool.

At the Marin Headlands area, near the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge. My wife had just made it to America and we were seeing the sights

I like this picture because of how accidentally and almost perfectly her arms line up with the landscape
