The drive down last Sunday was fantastic as there was minimal traffic for the nearly 600 mile distance, and clear weather the whole way. Got mostly unpacked save for a couple boxes with photos and books, etc. Did get my tv, bed and living room set delivered, so after a couple nights sleeping on the floor in my old sleeping bag, which left my back, hips and shoulders stiff as a board, being able to sleep on that new bed felt like Heaven. Just like sinking into a soft cloud. Anyway, with still some errands to run, as well as a few things still to buy, it's coming along. The 2nd bedroom I'll get to in early December after settling my cc debts on what I bought so far. Here's a few pics of my new estate. Simple yet comfy. No regrets.

The missus is down the smoke for a couple of nights with her mates so I'm self catering.Wondering what to have for dinner & I had a brainwave....went up to our village butchers & got a steak & ale pie. Pease pudding,some veg & gravy it made a superb meal.

I'd start looking for leaks if my Monthly Water Bill ever reached 50 Baht !! Although with the Wicked Witch of the North cleaning everything, I'm not looking forward to the next one !!! Only this morning I discovered that my coffee cup is white and not brown !!!

Oh finally home and thawing out. Happy I’m sticking with the walks even with colder weather, best 100 baht or so I’ve ever spent was on that neck warmer. My throat was where I was losing all my heat, just didn’t know it. After my meal, stopped in for BP again, all good as shown. And the 5,000 step average by 12/31 is well within sight……

Tainted tournament as far as I am concerned. Corruption, abuse of the working conditions, banning of beer, gay's etc . Then again FIFA and UEFA are riddled with scum from the top down.

I have absolutely no interest in the WC this time around.

Everything about Qatar 2022 is either a bloody farce or injustice ever since they where awarded to host the tournament. Only one thing to do: Boycott it.

Haven't had a drink for a week and keeping down on fats, actually lost some weight. Even been drinking mostly green tea. Tomorrow is a different day for food and drink options after 1000 a.m.

Just finished work for the week, moved from my conservatory to the lounge (must have taken 5 seconds). Would really like to have a beer but got an ultrasound on my liver tomorrow so the 8.5% Belgian beer in the kitchen will have to wait. Nothing wrong I expect as I have had other tests over the last 2 years with all good results, this is just a follow up from an initial request consultancy2 years ago that I decided was better to have than cancel. Just annoying the unhealthy foods and drink will need to wait till after 1000 am tomorrow.

Just finishing packing for a week in Gran Canaria, flying on Monday morning from Bristol. Picking up a hire car at the airport and staying in the resort of Puerto de Mogan on the south coast, we can expect temps of 25c during the day and 19c at night. We are staying in an Airbnb, one of the white washed apartments in the video next to the marina.

Hopefully just the Canadians show up and we win be default

Just landed in ams,charging phone up once 100% ,dump backpack in locker and make my way into city ,connecting flight not till 9pm,walk around red light area afternoon I think,few beers a spliff will help me sleep away the 10 hour flight hopefully.

Yup! I'm looking at Travel Insurance for UK that includes getting my body repatriated to Thailand if I die on holiday. It has nothing to do with any religious bollicks. I don't want to snuff it in UK, and dump a massive Bill on my sons' laps.. Getting burnt at Watdamsamakee is a fraction of Funeral/Burial costs in UK ...

Used Cathay Pacific direct to get here a month ago.....it had been about 4 years since getting to Thailand. They had the best price.....but.....here is a question for you all. I noticed an "unbelievable" fair when looking right? Since when did airlines ( maybe just Cathay) start offering fares based on if you have 1 piece of checked in luggage, this is the price, if you have 2 pieces of checked in luggage this is the price? ☹️

Haha mate….I noticed that as I was screenshotting it…..ended up being dry and the wind WAS at my back. Easy 35 minute hike, 30 actually as I stopped at a pharmacy measure my BP Won’t be playing until April/May, 9 holes all summer was a disgrace, wasn’t on purpose or lack of $…..just happened that way. I have been put off by lack of etiquette especially among the youngsters these days. Well done Eric, Las Vegas is a great place to try out the new "frontier" Like everything in life, you will get "varied" opinions on what is good about Vegas and what is bad. Kind of like The Grateful Dead and Licorice, I don't like either, but I know alot of people who do. When we sold my parents home back in July, Rachanee and I thought about actually buying a home there as we over the years, have just had a blast there. So much to do, some great shows, great buffets, you name it, Las Vegas has it. This is the place, if you are NOT, the "sit around the house type" to live out your golden years. A well thought out plan and execution on your part has turned out well..really happy for you and keep us posted. Can you take one for the team and report back as to how one of the escorts rocked your world? 😇
