Yes, always worthwhile checking the headers on suspicious emails. It will depend upon your email client. Easiest way is to do a google search. For example searching on "hotmail show headers" returns Login to Hotmail. Open the message for which you wish to view the headers. When the email opens there will be a down arrow in the top right hand corner of the email where select the “View Message Source” option. A new tab will open in the browser and in that tab will be the header of the message. Whereas "gmail show headers" returns Gmail: View Email Headers Sign into your email in a web browser. Open the email you want to check the headers for. Next to Reply , click More, the three vertical stacking dots . Click Show original.
