He is back in the UK at the moment and acquired this a few days ago, he collects it tomorrow. One could say it's in rather clean condition for an old British motorcycle. 1959 Norton wideline featherbed frame, 1963 Triumph 750cc engine + gearbox. SteveBC Posted August 4, 2021 Share Posted August 4, 2021 (edited) Had many bikes in my lifetime, both in the UK and the last 18 years i've been here in Thailand. First three pictures are of the biggest pile of crap i have ever been unfortunate enough to own, bought brand new in 1990 for a trip from the UK to Istanbul. we only got as far as Budapest and run out of time and money repairing the bastard thing and had to return back home. Traded in after 18 months of misery for a new Honda Valkyrie, i then went to Istanbul and back without even having to top up the engine oil, kept that bike for about 4 years/ 70,000 miles. Not a single problem at all. Since being here in Thailand i have had two more Valkyries, the last one i bought off of E-bay and had an importer friend of mine here bring it into Thailand for me, it is a year 2000 model which the dealer in the UK imported from Las Vegas, it had 12,000 miles on the clock and 63,000 miles when i sold it a couple of years ago, wish i still had it to be honest, but i needed the money at the time.. The only problem i had here ( quite understandable due to the state of the roads in this part of the world ) were the fork seals leaking after a couple of trips around Laos.
