I was just puttering around my house when I heard the sound of a big chopper passing by - not uncommon as I am more or less on the flight path of air traffic heading for Alaska after stopping here and occasionally see some interesting military hardware go past - and I saw two of these Bell Boeing V-22 Ospreys passing by, the first time I've ever seen these; unfortunately a little too far away for a photo, but here's a file photo:

Thought Pope Francis was in Italy and Justin’s still in Costa Rica?

Back from the walk, was quite the ordeal…..That’s the farthest I’ve gone in that time frame, and the humidity gets you eventually. Plus I don’t think I’m 100% recovered from the COVID

That's great, quite a trek.

Just processed my visa and booked my 2nd flight for Feb/March, will join @Stillearlyin PP for a visa run to see a few old friends.

Had the email this morning granting my visa, a pain in the ass to apply, but much better not having to send your passport off in the post.

No mate, too much expense and hassle at at the moment. Plus just started a new job .

Hoping things settle down next year.

Understand that. Hope the hassle settles down and of course the new job becomes a pleasant routine. I will be in Thailand in December.

Reliving my youth.

A retro arcade just opened up near me so took my two lads there this afternoon.

Not played on some of these since the early 80s and wanted to show my lads how we did it in the 80s..

Spent 4 hours in there walked in early 50s ,played like a teen... walked out an old man again 🙈🤣🤣

Pics won't upload ffs 😆

Defender , Galaxian , Donkey Kong you name it..

Brilliant

Our age are at the top end age wise of gamers, until about 5 years ago I always had the latest console. Started with ZX81 and Horace goes skiing then onto the  Spectrum and then onto the first PlayStation. Even then that first PlayStation was an incred step forward. Tend to play games on my iPad these days mostly because of time, short games that are maybe 5 mins a pop.

I'll be honest mate my lads are always on the laptop and PlayStation all the time.

I haven't got the patience anymore for games , the retro ones though are easy and over pretty quick ..

Too funny! My parents bought my sister & I Galaxian & DK for Christmas around 1984 or so. Spent hours on those games. Just found this pic online, like any collectible they are fetching good money today, $200+….

Robotron 2084?. I used to play the crap out of that, 2 joysticks and a page full of enemies! Awesome. There was a "bug" on the first brain wave (level 5) whereby all the humans were the woman apart from one "mikey". as long as you kept "mikey" alive the "brains" wouldn't attack the women, so you'd kill all but one quark or brain then sweep the screen rescuing the women and finally mikey and get about. 5 extra lives.

Stargate was another impossibly hard sequel to Defender. Also Tempest was a great linear LED game, along with Battlezone, Berzerk, Moon patrol etc. A little later came the late 80's with xevious, bubble bobble, chase HQ, Pole Position and the great animated interactive stuff like Dragon's lair and Space Ace. I also remember seeing a genuine 3d hologram game but can't recall what it was.

I then started to spend my dinner money on pinballs, Playboy, Black Knight 2000 etc. Keep meannig to buy myself a genuine pinball machine, would like to get my grabbers on a Black knight if possible.
