Now recovering from yesterday's hash run. It was hot day out under the sun. Quite a bit of the trail was through cassava fields. Quite happy when the trail brought us shade in rubber tree plantations. 9 km later the beer truck was in sight and liquid refreshments awaited.

In Bangkok on the way home,I met up with an old mate in Chequers on Soi Nana. The guy on the right used to run Bobby's Arms which was in a car park in Patpong & later the Queen Vic on Soi 23 just outside of Cowboy.The guy with the beard is a friend of a friend.A great night of nostalgia wallowing.

Devonshire again with Brian and Gordon. The tomato soup was a very pleasant surprise.

Loved talking photography with Baz back in the day....we had some great conversations about taking pics of girls.

Been running the Derby 10k. Excellent event as usual with over 2000 runners. Great atmosphere at the finish right outside the football ground.

If they had used flammable cladding the resulting fire would have probably made international news. Fortunately they didn't go cheap but instead used nonflammable cladding. It'll still burn, but at a much slower rate giving the fire crew time to put out the fire.

Never got a firm answer to the question of what happened to the tires that were supposedly reserved for me....you know the drill here, let wifey/gf find out...even they can't get a reasonable answer. I have to say though, these Michelin tires are great...smooth as silk. Outstanding.....too bad she didn't ask you " Mr LD KId, I can shave your balls in the back room for another 100 baht tip Na Ka? For me it’s the Chinese,fucking vermin the way they behave. Some of the behaviour I have seen is just disgusting.

For me, I can't say I hate, genuinely hate any Nationalty. Although I do find certain traits exhibited from various nationalities annoying at times, but they are usually petty. I think what is meant is about elements of different "Cultures or Religion" " usually inherited at birth. Whenever this happens, it usualy eminates from the comparisons from our own culture I hate everyone collectively 😁😁

Ii don't hate nationalities, but I try to make sure I know the best, descriptive insults in the various languages to get my point across. "Nye kultoornii" (uncultured/uncivilized) works nicely on ruSSians.

The fish up that way are notorious for being camera shy too !!

Been a tough 3 days, but we have managed 19 fish. Mainly Siamese carp. Biggest at 80lb and an arapaima of just over the ton.

Had a fun day just chilling. Our plan for the day was not to have a plan.... and it worked out perfectly. Just like we planned.

Just had the haircut in Bangkok, first time I'd used this salon. Not as exciting as @Yessongs car story but even the little things can be fun here. Got a terrific cut from a lady certainty at least in her early 50s. The lad before me was an early 20 something good looking gym rat and she's all business with him. She's finishing up, shaving the back of my neck with a straight edged razor. She looks at me in the mirror and gives me the classic " You handsum man"😀, she pauses and then says "No very handsum!!" 100 baht tip secured! I know she's lying but walked out with a spring in my step🥳

You've never experienced proper post Pattaya blues unless you've just gone back to Saudi for another 15 week stint.

It was a pleasure to meet you & Brian mate. Just checked into the Ibis Styles on Soi Nana in Bangkok,after our palatial condo in Grand Avenue it seems very small but only for 3 nights so no probs.Quite a good drive from Pattaya it took around 2 hours.
