I don't know how long since you were last in UK but I would say that most privately owned houses have burglar alarms/security cameras fitted. Popular Post maipenrai
Here's the other part of my generous brother's advance bequest to me - this lovely old Matchless G80CS is another "bitsa", having been assembled from parts; the story is that it was built by an ex-factory mechanic from parts left over when the firm shut down in the late '60s. It has a '55 long stroke 500cc motor in a '58 frame and running gear and with enough "CS" parts to register it as such. When he got it the original fiberglas fuel tank was beyond redemption and he was able to source a metal one from India, which my autobody shop friend refurbished and painted and I think it looks great. I got it running last weekend with considerable difficulty as it had been sitting for years, and it needs further attention to make roadworthy but I'll get the parts together this winter and have it sorted by next summer's riding season; I just wish we had more suitable roads here to enjoy it - not much for winding country lanes around here, sadly. 6 1
