Thai Spice
Usual French cantine yesterday evening... Had the rillettes and mussels But the wine was the killer... one 250 ml pichet + 3 glasses... We had a long and nice chat with the owner and another resident, long time I hadn't an evening in French. Owner was previously married with a Thai, lived in BKK and Issan...😁😁 Now 2nd life with a cute Indo girl.

Horizondave
Well I just need to bring the thread back down to earth with the breakfast I just had. I know some here will be truly shocked. My 60 baht buster brekky was from Iceland (shop). In the oven for 30 mins and presented in a paper container it actually was very nice. 2 sausages alone were worth the cost, I was happy for the £1.59 I paid. Not a normal breakfast for me but passing the freezers in Iceland it just looked at me and I was smitten lol Edited September 16, 2019 by Horizondave
AJSP
Diet not going well - me and the boy tonight. He wanted a giant Yorkshire with his i plumped for the creamed cabbage. Mash and sausages complete the meal.

It was OK but could never replace the real thing. I won't be buying it again but always willing to try things when in a rush. I will say though that it was better than most airline breakfasts I have eaten, the omelet was actually edible and didn't taste of rubber.

She boils the liver for a minute, chucks the liver, onions, bacon into a wok and adds oyster sauce, dark soy and a little gravy.

No doubt the imported beer is pricey, but comparing to back home, $31 CAD for a starter, a main, 2 import beers AND service charge......Indonesia still a bit cheaper
boydeste
Had to stay the night at my mates to receive the tackle from the van so wandered into town for a brekkie. Was well surprised to find a Mexican place doing a fry up. Very nice for 7 quid with 2 pots of tea. 2
