The front line has moved on soi 15. It's now almost at the back of the Avenue Mall. Mercure Hotel is effectively cut off to vehicles, as is Oakwood (the old pbr), although there does appear to be a concrete path to mercure.

The standing water was awfully wiffy.... and it was quite muddy. We decided against walking further.

South of City Garden, the track changes sides, but soon disappears. There is no vehicular access to 2nd road. It appears the drains are laid, and they are preparing to relay the concrete in at least parts of this section.

The gate to the temple is shut

Instead of walking through the freshly dug mud, I walked from soi buckhou along soi casino.

Looking north, past Avenue Residence to Avenue mall

Not heard the soi called Soi Casino before, but an appropriate informal name. :default_cool:

Never heard of it neither. Where abouts is it?

Dirt track that leads from soi buckhou to Soi 15, past Whisper and Neta hotels. It had an illegal nudge nudge wink wink on it, very popular at all hours by the Thais pre covid, hence the unofficial name.

The "compound" is now used as a storage/construction area for the road works

Through the wonders of photography I believe I can smell it from here.
