Mr. Smooth
Looking at these pics of a lifeless city, the hundreds of millions in economic commerce that has ground to a halt, is just unimaginable to comprehend. It's like a blind man regaining his sight during the middle of a power outage at night. As horrible as these scenes are at the present time, I honestly believe that once the go ahead is given to reopen the city with little to no restrictions, I think the town will come to life in a matter of weeks. There has been too much investment in shops, infrastructure, condos, etc....to let it all go by the wayside without there being some sort of economic recovery. One thing is for sure.....that Misteregg is as determined to continue on in the face of such adversity as any business owner could possibly be, and his bar will be getting a quite sizable amount of bins from me whenever I'm able to get back. I can safely assume that regarding members of this board, I am not alone in that thought. 4
john luke
A visit to Naklua Sea Food Market at 0900 this morning. Very quiet with quite a few of the outside stalls left empty. Contact tracing at all entrances; very efficient.

We note your interest, however the content will probably dissappoint. In summary; two motor cycle taxis, some chairs where ladyboys used to sit, a new bar advertising for staff, a small gynasium, a 2018 party and a ladyboy in a red dress (Photographs 8 & 9). Last few then Beach Road towards Soi 7. 9 2

john luke
Attended Big Buddha Temple around 0800 this morning. Had the site to myself for at least an hour before a few others attended. Some considerable work has been done on the site. 5 1

Seems like you skipped the Chinese temple just below Big Buddha, I strongly recommend you visit there next time as well.

Assuming you mean this one and the garden just behind; unfortunately fenced off. I am assuming it is having a refurbishment.

Some form of self punishment? Another look, this time from the outside at J Residence where I did my ASQ. And round the back. Watched this from my ASQ room.

john luke
A visit to Pattaylla Night Bazzar, this afternoon. Prime Facie all the goods that were available historically are still there. The stumbling block is however that the occupancy rates for the stalls historically was about 95%; now I would say it stands somewhere around the 40 to 50 percent occupancy. I bought a couple of pairs of Addidas jogging trousers; whilst negotiation, I only had enough money in my wallet to purchase one pair and said I would go to the ATM to get some money. The lady seller was so desperate to sell that she said she would walk with me to the ATM and she did so. I have only posted a picture of one set of empty stalls; as I mentioned earlier I would say the occupancy rate is around the 50% rate. See the food stalls at the top of the market too.
john luke
This morning's session starts at Mikes Mall and proceeds generally around the area. A quick visit to The Avenue. Some activity going on there. The food court, no doubt to the chagrin of @Painter I think in its previous form has gone. On towards Soi Buakhao. Certainly no shortage of food carts in the area. New condo block adjacent to Kiss Food and Drink. 4
