Ok sorry guys, I love my country, I love my family and I am soon going to be a Grandfather and just hate to see that we now have to worry about our children going to school and that just really irritates me.

Well said.

I still think crossing the street in Bangkok is more dangerous that living in the US, tho... 😉

Totally agree, In USA sadly, it has just gotten to this point. Mass Murders in USA are a daily news item pretty much. He is not going to try to get a "permit" to carry this firearm with him, it would be a hard sell to any judge to review his case and say OK.

Believe me when I tell you all this, but my best friend of 53 years is a Clinical Psychologist, we have had some major disagreements recently about the state of affairs in USA. Because of this, I told him to f**k off the other day, I have had enough of his and many others saying that the reason we have had so many mass murders in USA these days, is because there are people in USA that have "mental health" problems. I get so god dam, sick and tired of people always using that as an excuse to kill people, especially kids.

My point is that we use that excuse way too often, I think there are just " root evil people" in USA who DO NOT have mental health problems, they just do not give a f**k about anyone. They certainly know the difference between right and wrong and killing people is just a way for them to get off I guess.

Let's take the lovely Steven Paddock for example. Kills 58 people in Las Vegas, injures 900 and it appears now that the FBI are now reporting, after a 6 year investigation that he was mad because casinos were not recognizing him as a "high roller" and lost his ass consistently. Over 4 days carries multiple assault rifles into the Mandalay Bay Casino/Hotel and certainly knew what he was doing.  Of course others, mental health "experts" are saying he was "narcisstic" and blah, blah, blah.

Ok sorry guys, I love my country, I love my family and I am soon going to be a Grandfather and just hate to see that we now have to worry about our children going to school and that just really irritates me.

It just shouldn't be that way.

I agree wholeheartedly on the 'they have mental health issues' as the go to excuse on anything negative that happens with peoples actions.

It's even worse if you're in the USA because the shooter was trans, she is the victim and gets all the Media/Gov sympathy while the true victims and innocent 11 year olds get almost no sympathy from the Media/Gov.  Because it was a religious school (Presbyterian) they somehow provoked the attack by their religious beliefs.

Well of course, we need ANOTHER 7-11 in the area. Get to the end of our street, take a left, walk 200 yards down and there is a 7-11.

Now, take a right and 100 yards down, a brand new 7-11 is there. Mind boggling. At least this one has a substantial amount of parking and is a very, big lot. Of course in true Thai tradition, they built a gas station here in 2017 right? Never opened. Why is that? According to wifey, the people in the neighborhood in the next block over objected to it being too close to their houses, the pic clearly shows this. They tore it down, and now look what we have?  Amazing Thailand!
