I agree with you on this. My observations are many Thai's aren't shy about expressing their dislike for certain folks north of the boarder. When the death rate begins to spike again here there will be a lot of enraged people. After certain officials get a taste of that the door will be slammed shut. Unfortunately they don't seem to be applying a balanced reasonable approach to what is sure to be coming.

I always do a booze free January, started early this time , haven't had a drink since the 23rd Dec Reduce my alcohol intake on holidays , I'm a binge drinker at home , but on my last two month trip I drank almost every day ... and really felt the effects at times ... Lose weight , already down a stone and a half from my peak in 2022 , but need to keep on going ... walking , swimming , gym read more and spend less time on the internet.. I used to read loads , now I find my attention span is too short , going to try and push myself to read an hour a day , by going to bed earlier .. i know you can do these things at any time , but January always seems like a clean slate and my motivation is higher ...

I'm finding on this long-awaited trip that I just can't carry on like I used to - one night or more on the piss and it just drains me, as well as aggravating my shaky prostate; I'm going to have to slow down whether I feel the need to make resolutions or not.

Thinking back to not so.long ago, many visitors were put in 7 or 10 days quarantine hotels and released after a negative Covid test. Plus having to show a vaccination pass and Covid insurance Why can't they do the same for the Chinese? I am sure there would be lots of money to be made out of it, whilst going some way to stop the virus entering the country in large numbers What bothers me is arriving at Swampy with queues of infected Chinese tourists at immigration and security, spreading the virus. It's all about numbers in the end and if there is a major surge of Covid carrying tourists then it won't take long before another pandemic. That of course should apply to all countries. It is one thing for the Chinese to Lift lockdown In certain provinces but another to allow travel and for other countries to allow infected travellers to.enter their borders without screening or vaccination proof. And also, as pointed out earlier, vaccination does not necessarily stop carriers of C19 As said in this Topic already, as a result, we too could end up facing knock on restrictions again.

Treated wifey yesterday afternoon to a day at the spa for NYE. As you can see, she has the Thai girl "Duck Feet" You know the gap between the pinky toe and the next one. Great for treading water LOL! Her manicurist was cute though and was rewarded with a 500 baht tip, she was quite happy. Came back home, she cooked a great dinner and then we both fell asleep at 11:00pm. Happy New Years to everyone.

Sat at home having consumed the best part of two bottles of bubbly,just watched a supposedly long lost episode Of Morecambe & Wise,from 1972 so 50yo and it was better than any of the shite on nowadays. Having a large Black Bush on the rocks before retiring until 2023,HNY everyone.

I really hope not, but you are probably right The excuse by the Chinese is that they have been kept from seeing family and loved ones living in other countries. Understood, but why can't those family and loved ones visit them in China? Even with that, they could easily become infected and bring the virus back with them. Sure, lockdown is tough on any nation as we all have experienced, but I believe that it is madness to allow large volumes of Chinese citizens into any other countries, with the current levels of Covid recorded in China, and we probably don't know the real figures. The virus came from China and should end in China. Just my opinion

I just downloaded the Thai 7/11 app. I think it could be useful in the future for deliveries. Just like most app's there will be a learning curve. Does anyone have any experience using it ? The trouble I am having is figuring out where on the mobile app do you go for English translation. Difficult to find. Any help ?

Have never made them.

Put too much weight on after being made redundant in February. Just sat around eating too much shit like chocolate and cake. Had a very active job but my current one is sitting down all day working with mobile phones. Only exercise I get is 10 minutes walk to work and back and a half hour round trip into town a couple of times a week. So it's to lose weight by eating less and being more active. So easy to get fat and lazy.

None of my resolutions in the past have ever seen more than a week of progress so I don't bother anymore. You can change your habits any day of the year, without waiting for the new year. I would like to be less of a c*nt than I have been this year, but probably not possible 😁😁
