Looking at the fitness app on my phone and I am doing 16000-18000 steps a day when I am working, not to mention climbing in and out of a truck about fifty times a night, lol...4 points

Downtown doing my security rounds last night and I spotted these antique cars at a hotel across the road - checked them out and here's two Bugattis and a Bentley; Bentleys we've seen here before a few years ago when the owners' club brought over twenty of them through but I never dreamed I'd see a Bugatti here on my Main St: I took these photos at 11:30PM last night...4 points

I've rented several different units from this same agency in this block over the years and it's hard to go wrong with them - well equipped units and you certainly can't beat the location, right in the middle of Pattaya with Beach Rd and 2nd Rd access and Central Festival Mall next door with a supermarket in the basement.4 points

During covid I put together a covid box... tinned stuff.... kept in the cupboard under the stairs. Today, I raided it. For some reason, I'd put a Fray Bentos steak and kidney pie in there.... So, I present to you steak and kidney (apparently, but if that contained the advertised 33% more meat, I was robbed!) that was, er, plain, and tinned carrots, which, despite an homemade honey and garlic glaze, were soft and watery. Prepare for more delights from the covid box....3 points

I'd like to head back to Thailand, but I'm still dealing with health and mobility problems that make living abroad unwise right now. No point in returning to Pattaya if I can't enjoy its, shall we say, attractions. I'm waiting to see if I'm going to need a knee replacement. Evil2 points

Yes, this can certainly be true - our northern lake areas can be especially dangerous when they blow up, as most in my area are glacially-fed and are bloody cold even on the warmest summer days; even if you can swim well you will be hypothermic within minutes if you go in the drink and many lives have been lost this way.2 points

Some info re lounges at LHR. I'm travelling with EVA to BKK, Premium Economy, but I have a Gold Card so can use any Star Alliance lounge. I've been in the habit of going to the Air Canada lounge. It closed at 8pm but, as the flight is only an hour and a half later, it was no big deal. Today, my lounge invitation specifically mentioned the Lufthansa lounge, which is generally regarded as sub-par, and is also a long way to the departure gate. So I went to Air Canada again and, although they would have let me in (at 5pm), they warned me that they now close at 5:30pm, and suggested going to the Singapore lounge opposite, which closes at 10pm. That is where I am now. I'm ridiculously early because I left extra time to get to the airport because of the train strike, and all the transport connections married up very efficiently.2 points
