Now most you long time stayers or frequent visitors might not appreciate this as much as I do. You guys ( im assumeing most of you are guy )are used to the going ons in this fair town. But It's been since 2020(?) for my last visit and things you all just take for granted still surprise the hell out of me. Like the heyday of Babydolls. So anyway, we made the rounds last night and ended up in the new location of Heaven Above ( a place i visited frequently in the past) and of course we start chatting up the (nude) dancers at our table. We were having a great time buying drinks, telling tall stories and groping beautiful women( which is pretty normal when ya run with a bunch of friggen lunatics) and next thing I know a certain larger guy from UK is being wanked off by his gal and mine is rubbing/ grinding her perfectly rounded bubble of an ass into my face. Now this is not exactly normal behavior in my neck of the woods back home. But it was pretty much at that exact moment that it dawned on me of why I love this town soo much. Now I have always been a firm believer that a person needs to get the hell out of Dodge, no matter where or what Dodge might be, at least a couple of times a year... because people have a tendency to become complacent of just how good we have it. My years of traveling to Thailand have been some of the funnest times of my life, with some of the best mates I have ever had the privilege of running with. I'm of the age now that I know one of these days it will come to an end.... and I'm going to miss it. So tonight I'm going to get a soapy....cause I can't get one in Durango.10 points

I too will not remove my shoes when entering any establishment that attempts to prevent such actions, i suffer with Planter Facilitus to my feet, if wifey is with me she explains, if they don't agree i just don't go in but i certainly would'nt abuse or assault the shopkeeper, i hope the Russian perpetrator is made to pay handsomely one way or the other.4 points

I saw this. EVA seem to attract some odd ones: https://onemileatatime.com/passenger-crew-wipe-butt/ and https://www.independent.co.uk/tv/news/heathrow-flights-passenger-fight-runway-b2422362.html Then there's this, but it's only speculative and possibly totally made up: Man known as "nightcrawler" found with 2 ladyboys in EVA Air toilet gloryhole scandal.4 points

I always send pictures of all the different Lays flavors we have here to my sister. I’ll try to slip these Doritos by her to see if she’s paying attention.3 points

^^^ You're right we tend to get complacent living here and that the goings on in Pattaya become the new normal. Good to be reminded every now and then we're lucky to be living in the world's best adult Disneyland.3 points

I just remembered another option for solar heating and that is a simple solar pool cover. I used one when I had a pool back in the US and it worked reasonably well, even in the cooler climate of Wisconsin. I expect it work even better here as it would help retain the heat in the water during the cool nights, as well as provide increased solar heating during the day. Two other benefits would be reduced water loss due to evaporation and keeping the wind born crap out of the water.3 points

Yesterday at the gym, met a "fellow american" for the first time. No big deal, but in my case he is the ONLY American I have met over the last year and a half here. Not to say, there are no other Americans working out here, but the days I go and the times I go, I have only met 2 different other guys. One is from the UK and one from Australia. Even better he is from Calif, we can bitch, gripe and complain about high prices in Calif these days LOL! He is from Santa Barbara, went to UCSB College and you will NEVER guess where he met his Thai wife? Yep, she went to UCSB also. Mom and Dad sent her here to get her Degree. He was a "hydrologist" in Santa Barbara for many years, just to continue the fun here, want to take a guess at what she did in Santa Barbara after she graduated? Well if you guessed she opened up a Thai restaurant, winner winner. Won't bore you anymore with my rhetoric.....2 years ago, he is 57 now, she is 50 ( she looks 40, saw pics of her, nice looking gal) they both had enough of 100 hour work weeks ( especially at the restaurant) she sold the restaurant, sold the home in Santa Barbara, cashed out and they bought a brand new home here in Minburi. Best decision they ever made he told me, they will never have to work another day in their life...good on them. Not so sure about selling the home in Santa Barbara....that is one nice place. They have a 14 year old Daughter, who is NOT happy with them he told me....she misses her friends she met there.....they are sending her to an International, private school here..3 points

Had one of these Tefal Air fryers with the turning paddle in it, but my god it was noisy, so got me a Ninja Airfryer and giving it a go tonight. Saves turning on the electric oven and 1/3 the time to cook. Onnthe menus tonight is Roasted Pork Belly, roasted tatties, steamed carrots and cabbage and the gravy is in the kettle. 🤣 Have to say I’m impressed with the roasting feature and it’s quiet when on.3 points

Flew to Don Muang from Phnom Penh yesterday and had a funny thing happen when I checked in - the clerk starts nattering about my passport - "What's the problem?", I ask - turns out there is a little chunk missing from the top of one page where a hamfisted immigration officer tore an arrival/departure slip off six years or so going by the adjacent stamps; I say "So what, no info missing" but that's not good enough, she has to go and fetch her superior and together they keep nattering until I persuade them somehow to just forget it and finish the job of checking me in. The flight itself was uneventful and I arrived just before another flight came in so didn't have to wait long to get through Immigration -another few minutes and it would have been a different story - and breezed through with no problems at all. I picked up my bag and hustled down to the cab booking area with only about ten people ahead of me. Then it was my turn and as I walked out to the cab with the driver he grabbed my heavy rolling bag with the handle extended and pulled it right off the curb at an angle, then fought to keep it upright as it started tipping this way and that way as he kept dragging it along - "Careful with that thing, damn it!" Once we got in the cab and got underway, I asked him about the meter - "Oh, you want meter?" "Yes!" whereupon he pulled a cloth off that was hiding the meter and turned it on. We took the freeway which is expensive from DMK, 130b altogether, and the meter fare was 220b with a 50b surcharge so a total of 400b - I'll bet he would have charged me 500 if I hadn't insisted on the meter; I've heard of this BS happening from Suvarnabuhmi but this is the first time I've experienced it from DMK.2 points
