Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7

Large Brown Snake Moving Through School!
We received an urgent call from a local school that had a Large Eastern Brown moving through! We arrived ASAP and Dan was able to catch this absolutely gorgeous snake!
Look at the incredible stripes on this specimen!

As long as my arse points to the ground the only good snake is a dead one.

I've had an eight foot Python living in my car port for the last two weeks. Hoping it sticks around. I have a few possums that may move out now.

The lady next to us has an overgrown backyard and also feeds birds each afternoon. This atttacts all sorts of vermin to our place including possums. Since I start using a Pestrol device a few months ago we haven't had anymore visitors.

I was skeptical when I bought 2 of them (one for each house) but they do seem to work.

Cheers for this. I'll try to get one next trip to town.

What about the birds next door. Not affected?

Snakes of Isaan

5 klicks East of Kalasin, Ban Lek
My dog's focused on a spot and froze to it. It was (I believe) an adolescent Siamese Spitting cobra, but its body seemed more greenish than black and it appears that the "monocle" on its hood is not fully oval. Is the latter due to poor photography or do they change colors/hues with age?
I found out from the "Snakes of Isaac" FB page that the snake is a "spectacled cobra" and not a Siamese Spitting cobra. Hence the differences I saw.

I was afraid you were going to show a pic of your dog laying on its side dead.

This big rattlesnake was noticed just outside a door at a home in Lincoln this evening, while the folks were letting their dog out. Thankfully they saw the snake before their dog ventured in it's direction.

This female rattlesnake likely lost her winter den to some nearby grading work to make way for a new house, and was actually seen about a week ago near a different door.

Whales sinking boats near Gibraltar is an ongoing story. Here's the latest chapter:

Orcas Sink Fourth Boat Off Iberia, Unnerving Sailors
Orcas caused enough damage to sink a yacht in the Strait of Gibraltar last week. A small pod has been slamming boats in recent years, worrying skippers chartering routes closer to shore.

Snakes of Chiang Mai  https://www.facebook.com/groups/121136308469728/

By far the biggest banded krait I have ever seen. How long can they grow? Mae Rim.

The banded krait (Bungarus fasciatus) is a species of elapids endemic to Asia, from Indian Subcontinent through Southeast Asia to Southern China.[1][2][3] With a maximum length exceeding 2 m (6 ft 7 in), it is the longest krait with a distinguishable gold and black pattern.[4] While this species is generally considered timid and docile, resembling other members of the genus, its venom is highly neurotoxic which is potentially lethal to humans. Although toxicity of the banded krait based upon murine LD50 experiments is lower than that of many other kraits, its venom yield is the highest due to its size.[5]
