ASEANNOW is experiencing cloud storage  issues and users in some locations can not reach our site.
Our hosting provider are having DDOS attacks this morning which they are trying to resolve. We can’t do anything, we just have to wait.
Sorry for the inconvenience! 🙏

Thai Visa has HUGE traffic so a website like this is quite valuable....

A lot of silly commentary but also lots of very good and smart commentary too.....Maybe a little too smart for the leaders who only like dumb sheep...

Thai forums are mostly hopeless for good smart hard-hitting comintary from what I have seen...

I did see Thai Visa halfway working for a few hours a few days ago...

I read they are finished as the owners could not afford and were behind in server payments. It was said that they were looking for a cheaper server but those efforts failed

Thai Visa is VERY VERY needed....If Thailand could only have one forum I would choose Thai Visa.....Addicts and this forum are fun but Thai Visa really supplied the nuts and bolts info needed for expats in Thailand...

You sound as if you might be ready to put an offer in. If you are, get in quick before all the members jump ship

I don't believe the server migration BS, nowadays you'd simply mirror the site and there'd be no need for any outage at all. Asean Now has been up for sale for months, and since the advert was still there just before it went down it doesn't look like they found a buyer. It might be as Larry said that they just ran out of money and closed it down.

If so, it's a huge loss for us. Not so much the news reporting, which was always flaky and can be found in many other places, but the specialist forums were invaluable. I was a regular of the DIY housing, gardening, pets and medical forums, as well as the Thai language one on and off. And outside of the fluid Pattaya agency circus, it was actually a very good and reliable source of information for visas and so on. I'm just keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it's going to come back, but with each passing day I become less optimistic.

Good to have it back. The Pattaya local forum is hardly worth looking at these days, but there's still a treasure trove of useful information on other parts of the forum. I bought a new car just over a month ago and have been communicating via PM with a BM who bought the same model two months earlier. It's useful to have someone to compare notes with. Then there's Sheryl whose local medical knowledge is second to none. I'm also in touch with a guy living down Ban Chang way as I quite like it down there and want to spend a few days in the area.
