forcebwithu
Are they still packing them in on the subway? I believe this is the greater reason for the large infection and death rates in major metropolitan areas. Image of the London subway from 23 March. Is this still the case? American polio epidemic: 1916 Epidemic, not a pandemic. 15. Spanish Flu: 1918-1920 The influenza virus wasn't discovered until 1931. How would they know what to do. 16. Asian Flu: 1957-1958 I don't think the Boeing 747 was flying then. Probably grounded due to a software fault. 17. AIDS pandemic and epidemic: 1981-present day I didn't know you could be infected with HIV by being near someone who coughed. 18. H1N1 Swine Flu pandemic: 2009-2010 Vaccine rapidly available. 19. Bullshit! The practice of quarantine, as we know it, began during the 14th century in an effort to protect coastal cities from plague epidemics. Ships arriving in Venice from infected ports were required to sit at anchor for 40 days before landing. This practice, called quarantine, was derived from the Italian words quaranta giorni which mean 40 days.

I could give a gigantic tutorial on what not to do to try to protect your privacy with your PC's and hand held devices ... Your PRIVACY is not a GIVEN anymore .... you have to fight to keep it from being exploited on every device that you buy ..... Im generally a liberal(European meaning),free ,market, personal freedom type of b;oke but it is apparent that for everyomes sake we require a population response to this...yes that means curtailing individual freedoms to protect everyone elses health as well as our own. It would be quite an intersting comparative experiment to get the Rays and fforest type guys and put them all in a location together and let them mingle, have open bars and cafes and casinos to their hearts content so long as they remain quarantined from the rest of us.Unfortunately they wouldnt have any choice as to which other freedom fries type person is their next door neighbour 2

UK only went into lockdown 23rd, there's published transport stats that show a fall in usage but can't give a first hand view. I stopped using the tube and buses a week or so before the lockdown. There's tens of 000's of Eastern Europeans in London in all forms of employment, many of who carried on working for as long as possible, particularly in construction. Can't blame them at all for doing the best for themselves, given how little money they have. Many of them rely on the Tube, and buses. 9 bus drivers have died in London- which is just insane. Personally feel the death rate in London, reflects we've quietly allowed much non-essential business to carry on.
