theshaw66 Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Are you currently supporting a Thai girl financially during Covid?
Horizondave Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 Are you talking about sponsorship of a bar girl. Unlikely to get many comments, sender's keep low profiles. Interesting post for a newbie, maybe somebody will offer their experience though.

Personally I am not, but I know a couple of guys who are. One is sending around £100 per month and the other slightly more. I was actually out with one of the guys last night, we added up what he had sent over the last almost 2 years, yes it was a bit of a shocker but he managed to keep 2 kids in education and a family fed and above the poverty line until she found other work. Good karma for him I guess. It was interesting when he told me how resourceful she and her family could be, and heartbreaking hearing some of the stories of others. 1
Stillearly Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 I sent one girl a few thousand baht a few times in 2020 .. she eventually left Patts and went back to the family farm and is working in her sisters shop
maipenrai Posted October 17, 2021 Posted October 17, 2021 I've sent small amounts of money to a couple of girls I know well, although I don't do it every month and do not consider myself to be a sponsor. Both of them are back in their villages and can probably live for a month there on $100 so I don't regret it, even though it does tend to add up after a year and a half but I'm sure they will be very nice to me when I finally do make it back there... 1
