Golfingboy
Back from the walk, was quite the ordeal…..That’s the farthest I’ve gone in that time frame, and the humidity gets you eventually. Plus I don’t think I’m 100% recovered from the COVID 4

Brilliant Our age are at the top end age wise of gamers, until about 5 years ago I always had the latest console. Started with ZX81 and Horace goes skiing then onto the Spectrum and then onto the first PlayStation. Even then that first PlayStation was an incred step forward. Tend to play games on my iPad these days mostly because of time, short games that are maybe 5 mins a pop. I haven't got the patience anymore for games , the retro ones though are easy and over pretty quick ..

Butch
46 minutes ago, roomark said: Had them all mate 🤣🤣🤣 Defender , Galaxian , Donkey Kong you name it.. Brilliant Robotron 2084?. I used to play the crap out of that, 2 joysticks and a page full of enemies! Awesome. There was a "bug" on the first brain wave (level 5) whereby all the humans were the woman apart from one "mikey". as long as you kept "mikey" alive the "brains" wouldn't attack the women, so you'd kill all but one quark or brain then sweep the screen rescuing the women and finally mikey and get about. 5 extra lives. Stargate was another impossibly hard sequel to Defender. Also Tempest was a great linear LED game, along with Battlezone, Berzerk, Moon patrol etc. A little later came the late 80's with xevious, bubble bobble, chase HQ, Pole Position and the great animated interactive stuff like Dragon's lair and Space Ace. I also remember seeing a genuine 3d hologram game but can't recall what it was. I then started to spend my dinner money on pinballs, Playboy, Black Knight 2000 etc. Keep meannig to buy myself a genuine pinball machine, would like to get my grabbers on a Black knight if possible.
