Glasseye
I go into a Viet restaraunt today for breakfast. I sit down at a table. I ask the waitress for coffee, then I look at the menu. She walks away. I wait, I wait, I wait. I then stand up and ask can I have coffee please. She begins to argue with me. WTF ???? 2

I think $6000 US may make a good downpayment.

Popular Post thumper63
I loved the 70s... well except for that little skirmish over in the "bad place" Like the old saying went... it's all sex drugs and rock an roll. It was cool cars and some of the greatest music ever made. It was laid back and seemed so much easier. 6 1

Popular Post Yessongs
So keeping with the 70’s theme here, just had a great dinner, a good wine buzz and just looking back at some of the phenomenal concerts I saw in the 70’s…..and there were alot, I mean alot. Just was an “English Progressive” fan, just the time in my life like alot of others….guys like Emerson, Lake and Palmer were just an instrumental part of my daily listening back then. In Aug 1977, my first time ever seeing them at the Oakland Coliseum Arena. Drove to Oakland the day the tickets went on sale at that box office, my buddy and I still talk about this show like it was yesterday. We were rewarded with 3rd row, dead center, reserved seats. Man I have to tell you, it was not Baseball season at San Jose State where I played. 1977 was my Junior year there and was getting the starting left field job there but……having a few “bong hits” was just too hard to resist LOL! Those were the days! Out they come, opening up with ”Karn Evil #9” Man what an opener….the rest of the evening my hair was standing up, yeah even on my head, where I actually had quite the "doff" back in the day LOL! Back in 1977, they let you bring in 35MM cameras, unlike today. I had my Minolta SRT 101….with a Vivitar 135MM zoom lens. Got a few great shots. Just outstanding, how these 3 guys could make music like this you know? Fast forward 20 years later to September 1997. Saw them at the Concord Pavilion, talk about depressing. There were probably like 1,500 people there that night….they just didn’t draw the kinds of crowds they had back in the 70’s. I tell you what, they DID NOT disappoint at all. They played like there were 15,000 people there, the sign of a true, legendary group playing for those few who still wanted to see them. It was a warm night out there, I mean really warm. Carl Palmer comes out with no shirt on, the dude is just “ripped” Good lord, that I will never forget seeing you know. “Lucky Man” was always on the set list…Greg Lake never disappointed with his voice…..this is a great video, especially when you get to 3:22 of this video when Keith Emerson just goes absolutely nuts on that “Moog Synthesizer” solo he does. Pass me the bong! Dam…RIP to Greg Lake and Keith Emerson both…..the 70’s were a part of my life, I will never forget. “Oooooooooh what a lucky man……………..he was.

Zambo
I have some photo negatives from 1990. Anything i can do with my phone or scanner to retrieve the pictures. I did try google but would prefer some first hand knowledge. I just need to choose a couple of photos and extract, i don't need large file size/ great quality. There are negative scanners, but for just a few negatives, that is too costly (unless you can borrow/rent one). I think I would frame them, project them on something flat and white (and large enough) and make a photo of that. Most image software can handle negatives. My personal favourite is IrfanView, which is free.
