Just watching Chelsea v Brighton and the better team is Brighton. Chelsea seem to have a Super League tyre hanging on their shoulders.  They don't look interested.

Glad to see they are going to pull out, probably only one or two guys made that stupid decision and maybe it has been pointed out that the fans are not to be fcuked with.

The remaining four English teams have decided to pull out of the Super League.

BBC Sport understands a formal announcement will be made this evening.

The moves comes at the end of a seismic day, which had already seen Manchester City pull out, with Chelsea due to follow suit.

Well done.

You will joined by one of probably Bournemouth, Barnsley or Swansea City.  I know Brentford will be in the playoffs but they always crash and burn at that stage, sadly.

I hope Brentford go up this time

Imagine there had of been fans allowed.

Two English teams in Istanbul for the CL final, would have been carnage ffs!

Seems daft that they will both have to travel for the final , if no fans are allowed , UEFA should just switch the venue to Wembley

Don't be silly. That'd involve a bit of common sense and how much of that is there in football nowadays ?

"But we also heard more countries are being added to the red list - from which travel is banned - from next Wednesday. These are Turkey, Maldives and Nepal.

This means that Man City and Chelsea football fans will not be able to travel to Istanbul for the Champions League final.

The BBC understands from the government that talks are under way with the FA and UEFA to bring the match to the UK instead."

hopefully sense prevails

Wembley is being used for a play off final that day, but as fan numbers are restricted it don't matter where you play it. Just use a ground in the Midlands so it's half way travelling for both sets of fans.

Sure I read somewhere that Villa Park had already offered but has been turned down ? Spurs place would be a good alternative ?

They could still travel as the red list means hotel quarantine etc when returning to the UK, AIUI.  Outright ban does not include Brits returning home.  Turkey won't even need a Covid test when entering from next week if you're from the UK.

Lot of expense and hassle though, then add loss of wages etc.
