Done some Scuba diving at the Side underwater museum, visibility wasn't great, but just happy to be in the water again.

Just had a refund of £1,191 from the gym , for the funds I chose to keep paying when they were in lockdown and when the facilities were restricted 🙂

Received delivery of a brand new Fender Telecaster today. Very pleased. Didn't even need to set it up. If I don't spend it Thailand, it's the next best way to squander my money

In 2020 I booked a Mercure hotel in Rio , the hotel cancelled my booking in April 2020 , but said due to Brazilian Covid rules they had up to 12 months to refund my £233 .... after 12 months I chased Accor group and they said they would investigate... I tried again and again , but each time heard nothing back .... so in June 2021 I tried my CC company Halifax , they got on the case and refunded the money , but then in October 2021 Accor objected , Halifax said they would represent my case ... finally heard back today , that the case is now closed and my money is returned permanently 🙂 brilliant from Halifax 👍 but fcuk Mercure and Accor group and will never stay at their hotels again 👎

I had been to the main shopping center in Livingston today which goes with the highly original name of "The Center" and was on my way back using my free Scottish bus pass. I noticed a teenage girl in front of me waving her hand about in a highly exaggerated manner which included much use of her fingers. My initial thoughts were that such movements were down to a reaction to some non prescription pharmaceuticals. I subsequently discovered that I had mentally done her a great disservice. She was holding her phone in her left hand some distance away and it eventually dawned on me that she was in fact having a conversation using sign language. It had never occurred to me that this might be possible but that was exactly what she was doing. It was quite fascinating to watch her particularly as she seemed to be getting quite animated. I imagine it could not have been easy using the phone and I think she was getting somewhat frustrated. Eventually we reached our respective stops and during my five minute walk up the hill I kept thinking that it was quite unusual to witness anybody using sign language and most definitely a first when they were using a phone for the conversation. As I reached the entrance to my "condo" building a guy was getting out of a delivery van with a parcel in his hand. You cannot just walk into the building having to either ring the bell for the duty manager or the number of a particular apartment to gain access. He was looking at the various alternatives and I said let me open up for you which I did with an electronic "key" like opening a car door. He walks in ahead of me but soon stops and starts waving to the "Manager" in her office but she does not initially see him. I need to get past him but he is blocking my way so I tap him on the shoulder and say "Excuse me" To which he turns round and mutters "Ooh, er, a a, ooh! I said you would not believe me! 😨

i think there is a glitch in the software. I show as admin but when i open, its shows me as a newbie, but only to me, i cant change that. but luckyily I still was admin once inside Derek is now back as mod

When speaking with Thais I always called it Krung Thep Maha Nakhon or at least Krung Thep. It's right there on the vehicle license plates That Thai writing at the bottom says Krung Thep Maha Nakhon not Bangkok.

Battening down the hatches for 2 big arse storms heading into the UK over the next 4 days. There is a chunk of work to do until conditions turn unsafe due to high winds. Spent all afternoon lashing cargo and also lashing tarpaulins double down, with a load of used lorry tyres thrown on for good measure!.

Two lovely machines that i come across during my travels. 1st. A most lovely BMW outfit, the sidecar is original too. It's on display in a large coffeeshop in Ubon Ratchathani and is in regular use ( or at least was at the time ). 2nd. An old British Ariel which had been fitted with a diesel engine, a good conversion as it does not look out of place at all. I spotted this in a motorcycle workshop on the Sukhumvit road in Pattaya, the shop is no longer there, i think it was on the site of what is now Big Wing ??
