  • 2 weeks later...

About 2:15 local time, before my lunch. I shed a layer, by the time I visited my 3 stores, a total 180…..almost dark, few clouds, a breeze, degree or 2 cooler but felt like 7-8. But it’s less than 4,000 steps, didn’t reach for my gloves or 3rd layer, let’s just say I hustled home. But yes, even in a place like Montreal that’s not in a hurricane zone, better to be safe than sorry…….you never know

Snow, snow, and more snow the last few days and more to come - and still too warm so wet and sloppy:

I’ve seen similar in Calgary around September 11th, also seen +20C Xmas day. At least now in Montreal it’s much more predictable, November 10 and not a sprinkle yet. But we’re close, already been -1 or -2, luckily on clear nights.

But hey, what, 6 weeks until the days get longer !!!!

When I lived in Bangkok (2009-2013), I would wake up early and take a long walk around Lumphini...lots of people out (mostly older) before the sun comes up and heat rises...

It's very popular, especially with joggers. I walk it most afternoons.

One more low light phone snap from the soccer/football practice field...
Two games left for the Fall season. My daughter is improving; scored a goal in one of the last games.

Thanks. She loves football and is working hard to improve.

A lot of the girls she plays with started at 3 - 5 yos. She started a little over a year ago (as a 9yo).

I'm hoping she'll stick with it (or with some other sport) through university. Good for fitness, teamwork, and peace of mind.
