Popular Post Binlid Posted April 17, 2023 Popular Post Share Posted April 17, 2023 Good morning from the L Resort,Ao Nang.This is the view from our breakfast table on our first morning here having arrived last night after a 9 hour journey from Loei Province involving 2 flights and a minibus journey.We have my wifes brother and wife with their 2 sons with us who all experienced their first time flying. I never got around to posting while up north due to excess alcohol consumption and feeling ultra lethargic in the oppressive heat.Will try and catch up over the coming days. Popular Post Binlid Posted April 17, 2023 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 17, 2023 Had a table booked for 8.30 pm HERE last night and everybody really enjoyed the food.It was busy but everything came out from the busy kitchen very quickly.We had rice and 2 ptns chips,2 large Chang,6 small Singas and 4 cokes,we had 4 ptns of deep fried pork belly a South ofThailand Sea Bass curry, a stir fried Squid with pickled egg and a Chicken Penang.Bit of the beaten track but we'll worth the effort to find it. 9 3 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Popular Post Binlid Posted April 18, 2023 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 18, 2023 (edited) Yesterday we took a long-tail boat trip which took us to Railay beach then across to Chicken Island and the Tale waek then to Ko Tup for some snorkelling.The 6 of us were picked up at our hotel and dropped back after the trip, they supplied chilled bottles of water and a fresh fruit platter. Popular Post Binlid Posted April 18, 2023 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 18, 2023 In the evening after the long tail boat trip we went to Reeve Beach Club, I had booked a table here 6 weeks ago to guarantee a front row seat for the 8pm Fire Show which was probably the best I have seen over the years.I was the only one to have a starter which was a very soft garlic bun. The mains included pork ribs Penang,beef cheek masaman, black squid,green crab curry,various other seafood dishes, some desserts were had including Tiramisu, chocolate pudding, mango sticky rice.we had 4 rounds of drinks including a special Reeve pina colda served in a coconut shell.The bill came to 6900 bht. 20230417_200454.mp4 20230417_200735.mp4 5 1 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Popular Post Binlid Posted April 19, 2023 Author Popular Post Share Posted April 19, 2023 This is our hotel in Ao Nang Rooms are very nice, we are staying in a de luxe room including breakfast which has cost me 23148 bht for 9 nights, the cost is inclusive of18% in taxes.room service is available until 11pm.Reception staff are all very friendly and helpful.Their is a very good choice at the buffet breakfast but alas the offering for falang is chicken hot dogs,chicken ham and those big baked means which are barely warm, wife says all the thai food she has eaten and she has eaten loads has all been delicious. 7 1 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
